Im having troube finding the coolant temp sensor. The fan stopped working. But i checked it and its good.i dont think it has a fan relay. 06 sonata 3.3. I looked everywhere and cant find it. I thought i did. But pretty sure it was for the oil temp. Doe anyone recall where this is. ? Thanks
Has a large fan control module on left frame rail on outside of rail.. scan PCM, sometimes you may find DTC that point at the module,, and burned up connector
I always get confused when someone says left or right
Would rather prefer driver's side or passenger's side
But, with foreign cars ... how can one tell which side it is???
Hyundai dont have clear pic on service site.. but where it point to the 2 connector, that the module,, of course one could simply follow the pigtail off the main fan connector.....
If I remeber correct, you need to remove bumper cover to actually see it bolted to frame rail, and maybe partial wheel house liner fold back out of way
In my shop we use LATE! LATE Left LATE Right LATE Front LATE Rear!
"LATE" = Looking At The Engine
And we don't mean "Coffee LATE!" as we only drink Captain Morgan!
Ok. Had to order the fan controler. While i was waiting. I filled the coolant and rigged the fan on a switch. But for 3 days the temp never got up to half way. So i didnt use the fan. I put the replacement part on . Started it up. And it gets just below half way and gets no hotter. So the fans not turning on. Anyone have any input on this. Thanks. And i get to th fan controller by taking the drivers side headlight out.
I am facing similar issue with the ECT sensor on my 2008 Hyundai Sonata v6. Can someone help me with finding the location of the ECT sensor in the attached picture?

The oil and coolant temp sensors are to the rear of the oil filter. I've never worked on this engine but I've circled what I think might be the oil temp sensor connector on your photo. The coolant temp will be below that as shown on the photo I attached earlier.
Want to hear something weird. After i changed the fan control module. And filled the coolant. My ac that hasnt worked in 2 years is now working just fine. Any thoughts on that?
