Door speaker removal

I have a nf (07 to be exact) and i want to replace my door speakers... I bought a set of components for the front and some coaxials for the back... Both sets are 6.5 inches but im not sure if those are actual rivets holding the factory speaker brackets to the door... It would be nice to use those speaker brackets but im thinking it might not happen... Can anybody tell me can i buy universal speaker brackets or do i have to get some special kind??? And how do i get them off???

If these riveted speaker buckets are similar to my Elantra then you don't have to remove them if you don't mind destroying the stock speakers. I cut my stock speakers out with box cutter and heavy duty snips then screw mounted the new speakers directly to the buckets. Much easier than drilling rivets and mounting new buckets.

Check this thread:

Component Speaker Install

Also, search the forum here, I know it will pop probably too many threads, mostly all Hyundai models speaker upgrades go in this similar way, Hope this helps some and good luck!

now i dont feel so bad about destroying those crappy speakers... ill post some pics during the install... i had a guy at a local sound shop tell me "there's absolutely no other way to mount new speakers on the nf" and that he would charge me 60 bucks a door to do it... i think ill save 240 bucks
