I'm planning to replace rear brakes on 2006 Sonata GL. Cost of resurfacing disc is limiting "options".
Looks like aftermarket (new) discs and pads are way to go. How hard is to remove old (OEM) discs/pads and reinstall new sets. Looks like straight brake r&r job (remove calipers, shims out,old pads out, spread calipers...). Discs have a hole for a removal by bolt in case they are binding and won't come off.
How about hand brake hookup? Is it hard to disengage hand brake and reinstall it on a new set? Is hand brake operating same caliper as reg.foot brake?
Any advice is appreciated.
