what is the cabin air filter? I have a 2008 Elentra and a 2004 Sante Fe, and have never replaced them. What is the benefit? IF I remember correctly, the dealer wanted about $100 to replace.

Laugh at them. hahaha. Just replaced my filter, $15.00 bucks at Advance. With a dirty filter your A/C will not perform as good, you may have musty smells too. Takes 2 minutes to do.

Well, then you got the regular one. The original Hyundai Cabin filter is an activated charcoal filter. I bet even the manual talks about it. Most aftermarket filter these days are not.

rallyman-

Logical-Source.com is where I found my 09 Sonata Cabin Air Filter (08790-2G000-A) OEM equivalant TYM Brand for $4.53 each.

phrsonata1
I bought three a couple of years ago from Logical-Source, they worked perfectly, the replacement for 08790-2G000A (no frame). I just reordered and the price has gone up a bit. Their item #HYSOFCCU is $6.67 each. I ordered three for a total of $27.29 with shipping. https://www.logical-source.com/2009-...ATA-11952.html

They also sell the 97133-3K000 replacement (with frame?) for $7.80 each.
