|thepipe||The eBay seller got back to me. The pictured connector requires an adapter which they do not sell. Who knows where (or if) I can get one.|

|thepipe||OOPS! I had the wrong video up when I responded. I tried the reset procedure where you pull the radio fuse for a few minutes and reinsert. Grinner, I am going to use your video when (if) I find a suitable replacement. It's the best one out there for radio removal on our cars. Thanks!|

Finally coming up for air...
Here's the picture of my head unit. Grinner, I tried the procedure in that video (a few times), but all I get is "initializing" as it reboots. It then hangs there forever. I have sent the eBay seller you found a message asking about fitment. It it will fit, there is my answer. In that listing, they talk about an external amplifier...does my Infinity setup have it? If so, where is it?

It is used to avoid battery drain between manufacture and delivery from various low (but constant) drain components like the radio. Pull it out and you're completely shut down. It's designed to flip 90 and reinsert for storage.

I'm on fire today... some searching around and I find a unit that talks about our connectors! They do say that if you have the amplifier, tell them and they will give you the correct connector. So, it COULD be plug n play. However, later on, they show a piccie of our connectors and I think they are saying that they don't have that. It's confusing - maybe ask them???

|Grinner||@Pipe There is no unit that has those connectors. I researched it endlessly when I got mine. I had to build custom connectors for mine but it works fine. If you don't want to go that route (and Best Buy or a radio shop will build them for you), I still have my old CD radio if you want to buy it and swap it for yours. It worked fine when I took it out 3 years ago.|

|thepipe||I'll take a pic tomorrow. It is the Infinity with XM and a 6-disc changer. That changer is the problem - it has eaten the CD's and won't give them back!|

|canderson||The top of the line 2008 system (Infinity w/XM and 6CD) should have two connectors (M45-a and M45-b). The M45-A is a 14 pin connector with two larger power wires on one end (Pin 1 = power = Red w/black, Pin 8 = ground = black), and three blank positions. The M45-B is a 16 pin connector.|

|Grinner||Post a quick pic of your head unit and I'll tell you if it is the same one I removed from mine. Infinity 6 CD w/ XM.|
