i20 Active 1.2 5-door

My previous car was a Ford Ka which was a disappointment as it only managed 42mpg (best case) and a headlamp change required a trip to the garage (35) because the driver's headlamp can't be reached with my manly (gorilla) sized hands. Also, the plastic body trim had an alarming habit of coming loose and vibrating at speed.

The i20 is a very nice change, the engine bay is positively roomy and a full tank of petrol gets me to work and back all week (400 miles, reserve light on). I get 56mpg driving normally (50mph-ish) on my A-road commute and 63mpg if I hyper-mile it. So I reckon this car should save me 700 p.a. in petrol alone and the way petrol prices are going up it might just pay for itself in about 8 years...
