I have noticed the vehicle's engine warms up in approx. 1/2 the time when the system is plugged in.

When I 1st got the system, I was expecting more heat. But after using it for the winter, I realize it makes a lot of sense (when you get in the car, you still are wearing your coat..so you do not want it extremely hot inside your car). When you open your car door..try to get in ASAP so the heat acuminated does not escape.

After using it for one winter, I know it is worth it

    Hope this helps

    Hi Casperr

Yes, I have a 1000w heater as well. It helps melt the snow and ice on the wind shield ( I notice it more on the side windows). It definitely helps more than without it plugged in. I used it last year and did not have use my now brush when the system is plugged in.

I would suggest programming it may be 15min or 30 mins earlier then you normally use the vehicle. I believe the system runs for approx. 1 hour more after the set time.

I have a remote starter installed as well and don't use it when the system is plugged in.

Hey CANADIANHD , can you verify if this is the same with you guys? I am not sure if this is working right. These are my observations

    1) it does not really completely melt the snow from the the glass, they made it look like it will be warm enough to melt that on the video. Maybe because I had this installed on a bigger vehicle than yours? I also noticed that the interior heater is only 1000w. How much was yours?

    2) You know when you start your car when you did not plug in your and climate is is set to auto, it takes about 1-2 km depending on how cold it is outside, before you can hear the fan starting to work because only then the engine starts to really become warm? I am not sure if my dealer has connected the kit well correctly and they admitted to me this is their first time installing.

    Thank you

Hey how much did it cost you to install the warm up system? On Hyundai site it is $832 but my dealer is quotong me $1100 something. I assume the price on Hyundai site does not include installation.

    Thank you

    Hi Canadian HD,

I provided the dealer with the part number you provided on Remote Start thread in the 7-seater Santa Fe forum...ie. 4ZF60-AQ400.

They said that the the connectors are different and that it does not work.

I had one of the original v-2 RS kits installed in my SF XL in June or July of last year. I say V-2 because mine is the 2nd gen which allowed RS using the proximity key. Francois P says that he has had the module installed and his RS was installed in Sept.

Is it possible that they modified the RS slightly between the June and Sept, so that the module doesn't fit with mine, but does fit with a "version 2.5"?

If you have any info that could assist, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers.
