I have just owned my new 2013 Elantra GLS for a little over a week and so far, so good. Love how it zips around corners (compared to my former Highlander :O)) If you are a potential buyer, just thought you might want to be aware of a few interesting things:
If you want a white Elantra GLS, it only comes with the tan interior I wanted gray.
The car does not come with a spare tire, but you can buy one at an extra cost. I negotiated it in my purchase price.
Yes, the vehicle comes with Roadside Assistance for five years (I think), but know up front that it only covers two assists each year and after that, the cost is yours.
Had read about the tire quality and noise issues, so I asked the salesperson about what the expected life of the tires were and he said that he didn't know, so I asked the service manager. The answer is about 25,000 miles
With only 400 miles on my new Elantra, I would recommend it and also the St. Augustine, Fl dealership. They wash and vacuum out the car after each service visit Love that!
