I have just owned my new 2013 Elantra GLS for a little over a week and so far, so good. Love how it zips around corners (compared to my former Highlander :O)) If you are a potential buyer, just thought you might want to be aware of a few interesting things:

If you want a white Elantra GLS, it only comes with the tan interior  I wanted gray.

The car does not come with a spare tire, but you can buy one at an extra cost. I negotiated it in my purchase price.

Yes, the vehicle comes with Roadside Assistance for five years (I think), but know up front that it only covers two assists each year and after that, the cost is yours.

Had read about the tire quality and noise issues, so I asked the salesperson about what the expected life of the tires were and he said that he didn't know, so I asked the service manager. The answer is about 25,000 miles :(

With only 400 miles on my new Elantra, I would recommend it and also the St. Augustine, Fl dealership. They wash and vacuum out the car after each service visit :D Love that!

:00000732: bravesoul! Sorry you couldn't get the grey interior. While I generally like tan interiors, and my current car has somewhat of a "bone" colored interior, my Elantra had grey interior and I loved it. The tan interior on the Elantra never quite "did it" for me, although it does look nice on the red Elantras.

Great negotiating skills on the spare tire! I stupidly didn't realize there wasn't a spare until I got home, of course. Bought my Elantra at the very end of a long day of car searching, so things were a bit rushed. Got a good deal on it, though.

Didn't have it long enough to replace the tires, but I had the Contis, and they were not good for road noise.
