Yeah that's a lot of tunage. I've got a 16gb that's maybe 2/3 full but don't know how many individual tracks it is. My suggestion is get another USB drive, they're not exactly expensive.
Another suggestion is checking the bitrate of your songs. Are they consistently 320kbps? Reason I mention this is my navigation in my E can't read pics my dad takes with his DSLR. I have to down convert the resolution for them to display. Possibly converting your music to a lower bitrate might help. Just an option before you go buy another flash drive.
I have been trying to get a SanDisk 32 gig to play in Ingrid. I downloaded The Beatles White Album and The Four Seasons Anthology CDs onto it. Formatted in FAT32, BTW. It plays magnificently on the desktop or laptop, but the USB on Ingrid says it's "empty." The extension is .cda. Is that incorrect to play in the car?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Elantra is limited to mp3, wma, and maybe wav. I'd say the safe bet would be mp3. Before downloading some nice converting software, try converting one of the songs to mp3 and see if that works. You can give a site like this a shot Online Audio Converter (MP3, WAV, Ogg, WMA, M4A, AAC) – media.io
my problem is that i'm trying to minimize the interaction with usb connector. i got a 16GB USB drive and filled it with MP3s and WMAs almost 4236 tracks on it therefore those tracks cannot be read and only the first 999 tracks are read correctly.
according to the display of the Audio System there is a placeholder of thousands in both current and total tracks but i've never hit 1000 only 999.
for example, i have an audio Bible of almost 1336 tracks inside it. trying to put it on play i could even reach the new testament in it!
btw i had an accident today an X5 hit me from behind and surprizingly i've found that nothing happened to my bumper and sensor and lights! while the hit was strong enough to crash half of my car!

I'm at 994 files on my 16GB stick now. I will make sure I cross the 1000 file barrier and get back to you tomorrow with what I see. If there is a Hyundai imposed 1000 file limit, that'd be crazy.
i forgot to mention that this is my 3 USB drive that i try and no solution from that side
i tried them Formatted FAT32 and Cluster either 512bytes or 2048Bytes and even up to 32K and 64K!
i've put all songs in folders and nothing outside the folders i tried many structure (nested folders up to 3 levels depth, single folder depth directly from root, 2 folders depth,...) all the time a maximum of 999 songs are read only while i have more than 4236 songs on the drive.
guys i've went to the main dealer of Hyundai today in Lebanon and i've negotiated the issue with the engineer here they said this was the first claim about it on this new audio system and they will send and ask for a patch update from Korea and then they will revert back to me to solve give me the result and may be solve the issue.
Thank you all for your help.
i will wait for Hyundai Answer and once i get the answer i'll post it here for your information
finally the dealer have changed my audio deck and can now read above 1000 songs
i have only one question they have installed me a new one with a phonebook button with almost 90 slots for numbers but i'm unable to save my contacts! any clue??
Did you have one with bluetooth before? It sounds like they gave you one, but there might be some other parts missing from your car, ie - microphone and steering wheel controls.
I believe the owners manual covers all the audio options.
