Where is the External Amp??

I just purchased the 2013 Elantra Coupe...Titanium with grey interior. I have the Tech packg with the 360-watt premium audio with external amplifier. To me, it doesnt really sound very loud. And where is the external amp located?

shep938. I am not the expert on your question (never tried to locate amp on my ex-Elantra) but I am sure some of the folks on here will know.

On the sedan it's in the trunk on the behind the liner on the top right side against the quarter panel.

on the 2013GT is is not in the same place as the sedan...in fact i don't know where it is. I just took my GT trunk apart to install 4 subwoofers, an amp and a audio control LC2i. I could not find the amp anywhere in the trunk.

So i ended up bring the front speaker wires from up in the kickpanels back to the trunk to run the 2ci. But there was a switched power source at the power plug in the hatch, so that was helpful. But you may not have a power plug in the coupe.

watcha doin?

Pictures always help me. As I've said before, the amp is only 125 Watts. 360 is a lie.
