I bought my 2013 Limited with the technology package for $22,800 for the car and $23,500 out the door (tax, tag, title, etc.). I think I got an awesome deal. Shopping around and making dealerships battle for your business is worth it!

My Elantra GLS with Prefered Package was listed for $19660, I talked the dealer into $17530, and got them to throw in the cargo net installed.

I bought my 2011 Limited at $250 off MSRP. But one needs to remember in early 2011 (March), there were waiting lists a month long. It wasn't uncommon for dealers to stick an addendum sticker of $2,000 for, as they lovingly referred to it, "Market Adjustment Value." Interpreted as: MORE PROFIT MARGIN.

I flew to Virgina to drive mine back to Oklahoma. There were zero Radiant Silver Limited's in a 9-state region of Oklahoma. I told the dealer over the phone I wasn't going to pay for airfare AND extra profit. Thus, I felt I got a heck of a deal under the circumstances at that time.

I traded it in for a 2013 and got more in trade than I paid for it. If you knew the kind of owner I am and how OCD I am, you would understand. 2011 went straight to the lot. No detail shop needed. The carpets nor mats ever had a shoe on them. Not so much as socks. "Showroom!"

Dealer put it on his lot for $2,000 more than I paid for it new, 17 months earlier. I can verify the market statements to the high residual value of these cars. Provided, of course, you maintain & take care of it properly.

OK, I'm off my soap box. Thanks for your patience.

2013 Elantra Limited, Tech Pkg, (plus a few dealer added goodies that I didn't bother having them delete), almost $4500 in dealer discount, incentives, and 'Motozuma' $500 matching 'savings account' thing, final price $22,442.28, TTL and all included.

The Motozuma thing, you transfer (as much as you want) as a 'savings account', and Hyundai 'matches' it up to $500. I made the deal, the dealer wrote it up even before the funds were 'available' to them (I had confirmation that I had transferred my $500 funds).

There's a $750 cash back and $750 'competing car owner' thing, expires after 4/30, altho I'm sure they'll have more promotions after that.
