Hello, I just got home from a scrapyard where I found a same-gen Hyundai Accent. I managed to harvest a working dome lamp, new gauges (with temperature!) and I was stoked to find command start and cruise control. However I'm not entirely sure I got everything I need for cruise control.
I got the throttle cable from the control unit, mounting brackets for everything (throttle cable, module, ground cable), I got the wiring harness, and of course the control stick for the steering column and associated cables. I didn't manage to get something a brake + and brake - were attached to (didnt have time, fighting with the firewall to get the control module wires out).
Now the problem is what am I missing? I've got the wire bundle, control unit and extra throttle (and the link to attach it to the existing throttle), and the column controls. I'm fairly certain I'm missing a brake switch (perhaps I can connect it to brake light wires?) and the original car was automatic, mine is standard, so I didn't get a clutch switch either. Is installing it as straight forward as it was removing? I got the whole setup for $30 so I'm hoping I wont have to buy a whole kit for $230 anyway.
