scangauge II

I love the scangauge II. I recently discovered another code for catalist converter temp on the internet. What codes do you use for xgague feature on your scangauge?

I added the instant HP display to mine. But I never use it. Kind of interesting but useless on a day to day basis.

Also I cant remember if I had to add it or it was already on there, I have a gauge for fuel economy average, per tank. Its not the same as instant mpg, or the trip mpg gauges, it computes the average until you reset it at the pump. Or say you are going to take a really long trip, you can just let it roll and see what your average is for the whole trip.

On mine horse power is default. These days, I am trying exgauge for fuel level and air/fuel ratio. they seem accurate. I use it mostly for water temp, battery charging, distance and MPG. it is pretty cool to me besides a scan tool.

Well it reads off the OBD port which is fed by the ECU. If the ECU doesn't have an oil temp reading, then it can't be displayed. Sucks though, I like seeing oil temp and pressure.

I hate signatures with pictures.

See that's the thing my scan tool does show an oil temperature, it's measured for the CVVT system at the solenoid (same as the Beta2). However the ultra gauge does not show it, neither does my cheap code reader that shows live data.

Must be a perimeter only for the more powerful scan tools.

There is probably a bucket load of interesting stuff the scangauge could display if only we knew what the packet address of the data was so it can be read from the Canbus. On diesels I used to work with you could access injector calibrations, individual injector delay times, initiate cylinder balance tests, common rail pressures, fuel temps, all sorts of stuff via Canbus.
