Don't they just put in LED bulbs, they don't change anything with the lights. It's easy to get the bulbs. My limited came with passenger LEDs. I even changed the trunk, that was a regular bulb. Much brighter in the trunk now. Also did the backup bulbs.
They add an LED strip above the driver's and front passenger's feet. It's tied into the dash illumination button to change the brightness of the LED. There is an on/off switch in the armrest storage. You could probably buy aftermarket parts and install it for a lot less than what the factory charges. Our Focus Electric has factory installed LED as well, but it lets you change the LED color.
There are places that sell the LED as a KIT, all the 4 needed for inside. I suggest getting the trunk light too, much brighter. My HSH Limited only had the interior with LED (a $125 option ! ! ) and they didn't do the trunk for that price. Usually need a tiny screwdriver to get the plastic covers off. Careful, don't want to break the tiny tabs that hold them in.
