As the title says, someone smashed my side mirror while I left the car parked outside. I can't believe how expensive this things are, 590 CAD $ for the part, 200 for painting and 80 for install. I won't use insurance as the deductible is 500$ and I don't want the car to have any "accidents" registered, at least not for such a small thing.
My driver's side was replaced last June under warranty because it was loose - you could wiggle it as if the joint was broken. I remember seeing the warranty amount on their copy of the paperwork for parts, paint, and install I don't recall the amount but I remember saying WOW! to myself.
I bet the high techiness of our mirrors having the lane change warning adds to the high cost. This will be a good reminder to push our mirrors down when in a public parking lot.
I go to Jim Pattison Coquitlam, they treat me well there, even they could not completely fix the moon roof creak noise, or really figure out the clunk/metallic noise that sometimes comes from the engine bay... :| they are a decent and for what I see, honest dealer. Which one do u go to?
They really should have made them "power folding".
I would not be shocked at their price.
