Refreshed 2018 Hyundai Sonata has been revealed in Korea. Thoughts?

Hey everyone. I just saw that the refreshed 2018 Sonata has been revealed in Korea. Personally I'm not crazy about the look of the exterior for the front looks too much like the 2017 Elantra. The rear looks a lot like the back of the refreshed Kia Optima but the LED tail lamps look like Lamborghini tail lights which look pretty cool. I personally like the design of the YF and LF Sonatas a lot better. Have a look for yourself!

For some reason it won't let me post a video link of the walk around of the new Sonata so take the time to search on YouTube if you're interested. Type in 2018 Hyundai Sonata and find the username "Han Sang Ki". Not sure if there will be a difference in the American version but maybe we'll see it soon maybe at the NYC Auto Show. Have a nice day everyone and enjoy!

I am SURE you will get personal apology from Hyundai CEO Korean and CEO USA and they will offer you top designer position in addition of a car of your choice.

I'm in the "looks good" group.

I do agree however that we should be saying the Elantra looks like the Sonata instead of the other way around. The "new look" should trickle down to the other levels, in my opinion.

I'm wondering if besides the DRLs will there be Fog Lights?

Will also be interested in what new technology, if any, has trickled down to the Sonatas and what is standard on the models.

Still looking for the Hyundai convertible.

The Korean and foreign models always get slightly different styling so I can quite imagine that the version that makes it way over here to the US will be a watered down version of what we are seeing.

I'm still however, not digging it. I see too many other vehicle design elements in it. There is nothing unique and stand out about it like the previous YF that was a major head turner. Will have to see what actually makes it's way over here before laying my final judgement.

Probably like the Elantra, no.

also note that the one they display is always a souped up version, top of the line version. The base models may look more conservative and I bet the grill and lighting wont be as aggressive when it actually reaches N.A dealerships.

I am reserving judgement. Photographs seldom do a car justice. Particularly new models. I have to see it.
