7-8 HP at 4500 RPM seems like a waste of $300 I mean how often to you rev that high and are you even going to notice the minimal gain. I know i'll notice the $300 missing from my checking account more so.
Wish there was something a little more powerful maybe a 12-15 HP gain at a lower driving level, but again, I knew this wasn't my Gen coupe when I bought it and didn't buy this expecting power
What more can you expect from a n/a engine? By now everyone knows if you want real power go forced induction or dont do anything at all. If you want some minimal gains then you will have to spend some money for some +single digits. +7hp from an intake, +7hp from an exhaust and so on adds up at the end.
Yeah they posted the Dyno chart results. Again to each their own, but I knew getting into this car there wasn't power or the possibility of having a powerful vehicle, I love the look of it. 25HP overall would be great but dropping $$$$ to get that minimal gain just doesn't seem that advantageous.
Has anyone actually tried the K&N intake on an LF 2.4L? I find it hard to believe that K&N wouldn't have tried to fit their own intake on the newer models to make money on 3 more model years without any additional R&D. It's not listed as fitting on their site.
They even developed a panel filter specifically for the LF(which I have).
I bought a short section of intercooler pipe and a pod filter, aimed towards the firewall on the end of the factory inlet hose, behind the battery where the stock filter and housing sat. Doubt there was much gain but can certainly hear the difference!
