I dont normally drive at highway speeds (at least not on a daily basis) however I noticed a wind noise coming from the area of the upper windshield. After looking at that area I noticed that there is a space all the way across the top of the glass where you would normally expect a gasket to be. Has anyone else noticed this?

I haven't noticed anything missing, but my Windshield makes an incredible amount of wind noise at really fast speeds (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

I have noticed that space your talking about. It does look like a gasket should be there, I also seen it on the rear window
but since i seen no leaks I haven't been to worried about it. I haven't noticed any wind noise as of yet. I have 24950 miles on my 2008 gls.

Wind noise is very subjective.... Of course, EVERY car, or ANYTHING moving at fast speed, with the air moving around and above --- will create some noise...... It's all relative. Some cars create more noise at certain points around the car (most of wind noise I find comes from around the side mirrors), and professional reviews would make notes of that.

Space at the top of the windshield? That's another story..... Maybe worth checking if it's normal, part of the design, or something is missing there.....
