Well, it's official. All bulbs are replace. No more incandescent bulbs!

I removed my HIDs and replaced them with SMDs. The SMD are brighter than halogen bulbs.

Watch and see.

Also an exhaust clip

Just take note that the camera makes it look blue-r than it is in person.

Please tell me you're not saying that you replaced your headlights with LEDs. I assure you they are nowhere near the brightness of a halogen headlight. I guarantee you. LED technology has not reached that level, especially in non-projector housings.

Overall everything looks very cool, but for your own safety (it's not really THAT much of a risk to anyone else, except people that don't see your headlights around a turn) PLEASE put legit headlight bulbs in for night-time use. That's incredibly unsafe.

bloodninjas concern seems pretty well based. how well do they illuminate distant objects. also, do you no longer have high-beams?

Don't criticize the brightness of the lights if you haven't seen them in person. There are not LEDs. There are SMD (surface mounted Diodes) that have a higher wattage and high output compared to regular LEDs. Get a set, put them on, and then see for yourself.

Not at the moment but I'll take care of that soon. Have them on special order; making me a new set of bulbs. nearly 200 SMDs each bulb and yellow (not amber or white) foglights.

Right now Hi-beams are the same light output as Low beams.

It's a work in progress. Just relax. I never use my high beams anyways.

smd is a technology, led is a description. led just means that the diodes emit light. the fact that they're surface-mounted doesn't mean that they're higher powered. If they are higher powered leds, then that's a different story, and much more safe than I thought you were using (fortunately lol).

here is an article regarding the Cadillac Escalade's use of LED headlights (i can't find anywhere that states the TYPE of LEDs used, but I suspect they are large-bulb High-Powered Bulb-style LEDs, judging by the fact that they use projector headlights.

Pretty interesting. Where did you get the headlight bulbs from and how much power do they draw?

It does look goofy, but it's likely the only way they could figure out a way to have adequate light output and a format that meets the specs for N/A as well as Europe.

that was 2007 and I still don't see any "Platinum" Escalades...

And why GM bothers to put 7 projectors into one housing boggles my mind. "Goodbye Pontiac, we need to develop next generation 10 projector headlamps"

That's because you don't live in a city full of people that buys cars they can't afford lol.

Trim Specific Features
6.2L V8 (AWD) | 6.2L V8 Platinum (AWD)
IntelliBeam Headlamps Optional | Standard
LED Headlamps Not Available | Standard

That's off the Cadillac website as of right now.

Heh, I have yet to see one that has the LED's either.  Maybe I should take a drive through the projects, you can find plenty of nice, new Cadillacs there. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laughing.gif)

RIP Pontiac, but you went for such a good cause -- for more bling on the escalades! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

heys, thanks alot for hijacking the thread.

Hey buddy, I  believe I have seen you hijack a few threads yourself in your day, so chill...  You're hard pressed to find threads here that ARE NOT HIJACKED. Apparently it's how things are supposed to operate here,so i was just following proper protocol.

Thank you, drive through.

Whatever.  Sometimes this place is just absolutely ridiculous.

Enjoy your LED headlights msvg, sorry for this crap in your thread...

Storms the cockpit with guns and demands control!!

I'm driving a 2010 Lexus RX350 and I'm in awe of all the blue lighting involved.

Now, back to the show... Looks really good msvg.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/offtopic.gif) Looks good MSVG. A couple questions. What was the cost for all that? Are your tails red or orange? They kinda look orange in the video, but i assume it's just the video. and lastly, can I get a link for the SMD you put in the hatch area? The light that is in there now is so bad it actually makes it darker. Also the overhead light too, if you could. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/offtopic.gif)
