When I hook my iPod cable into the AUX/iPod connector in the center console, it reads it as a USB and not as an iPod. Because of this, it doesn't show artist name/album, etc it shows the 4 character file names.

Also, I had some issues with my iPod not long ago and had to reset it because it wasn't syncing and adding my new music. I've fixed this problem within my iPod, but my car only seems to be recognizing my old songs (like my iPod was a while ago).

Any ideas are HUGELY appreciated!!!

Thanks!

Are you using the iPod cable or did you get the special cable available from Hyundai? Apparently you must use the Hyundai cable for the iPod to work correctly.

Speaking of cables, I bought this one I found on E-Bay. It's a lot cheaper than the dealer ($23.99), no sales tax, and free shipping. It arrived yesterday and it works great!

Also, just want to say that I've been lurking around this forum for awhile and I've enjoyed reading about everyone's Sonata and all the useful information that's available here. I have about 1000 miles on my '09 SE V6 and it's been a great car so far.

Your link does not work. I get a Sign In page. That is about what the Dealer would charge?

Hmmm.....I can click on the link and it comes right up, at any rate our local Hyundai dealers charge anywhere from $29 to $32 for this part + sales tax

Hmm, I'm just using my regular iPod cable so I guess I'll look into the Hyundai one. I just find it weird that it will play my old music, but not my new.

Thanks a lot!

I guess I messed up my prior link, here's another one that I hope works:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-HYUNDAI...=item518e00c62d

If this one doesn't work, the sellers name on Ebay is autoware302.
