I have a friend in Wales who owned a Santa Fe Diesel although I'm not sure what year it was, it did have the hood/bonnet scoop. I was under the impression that they all had it. Hmm...the mystery deepens. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif)

The mystery indeed does deepen I have looked and so far not seen one without one. which does make it interesting.. Its my first Santa Fe and want to find out as much as i can about it, I have dispenced with the idea of putting in a a double din radion unles i can get a spare center dash console. i have found a single din unit with all the bits i need on it like tv video out reversing cam in satnav and bluetooth and it has a 5" screen so thats the trade off. Also im on the lok out for a luggage cove as i did not get one when i got the car.. But still wondering about the air scoop as i thought that was the reason for the intercooler where it matches up with the bonnet intake ???? Strange I know i still have plenty of power but i might have more if intercooler was getting the right amount of airflow dont you think? Regs Andy
