Well, the biggest advantage with an in-cabin filter would be that you would virtually eliminate the risk of sucking in water (unless you pour something on the filter on purpose). I think he has it piped in behind his dash control cluster, like behind a vent or something.
The second biggest advantage is that you would get colder air from the cabin than you would from being near an engine.
Noise wise? I have no idea how loud it would be. He has half-doors with no windows on his Jeep so there's plenty of other noise there.
I just thought the idea was neat and wondered if it had any feasibility.

im not being rude but this is just foolish to even consider. whats the point? ever heard the engine under load with a sri? its LOUD! not to mention the constant hiss of the basic intake functions from our cars are really loud too. theres no hp gain because of all the bends and turns and length of pipe needed. it would take WAAAYYY too much work (removing the entire dash to prperly fit the pipe, installing it, then removing it and welding a patch over the hole when you realize it was a bad idea, reinstalling the dash) im sure there is many many more reasond against this then for it. and things are always feasible, just need work. but this, this is just boredom.
