The silence of the Kappa engine is such that, apart from extreme wind conditions, the tyres are the most obvious source of noise that one encounters while driving. On some road surfaces the noise level is really annoying.

Replacement is a long way off yet (I trust) but I wondered if anyone had researched the issue and could already recommend tyres that were safe but quieter.

I agree with what you are saying and investigated replacement tyres a little while ago. All the indications are that Michelin Energy are the quietest with Pirelli P6000 coming second.....
