What about the 'stickers' and their adhesive?

Did your friend scuff up the bare metal before applying the primer? Scotch-Brite scuffing pads work nicely to clean and prep the surface. The Brake Cleaner supposedly leaves no residues, but I would still wipe the caliper surface with a Wax and Silicone remover before priming.

Nice work.

Volfy...did my Cobra calipers five summers ago with the kit from Dupli-color. The kit contained brake cleaner/paint/brush...and they still look great!

I guess the high temp tends to burn off any surface contaminants that might affect paint adhesion.

It looks great.

I must be old-fashioned, but I still tend to prefer naked calipers. A coat of paint does impede heat dissipation somewhat. I doubt it matters for normal street driving, though. I still remember attending an SCCA event at Poconos Raceway, and watching this guy in a Porsche 911 zoom by with the brake rotors glowing bright red hot. Then somebody mentioned to us that the driver's style was keeping his right foot firmly planted on the throttle, while modulating speed with left foot braking.

Quick question for anybody who might know. What font does Hyundai use for their font. I downloaded this font...

http://carfonts.com/download.php?font=Hyundai

but I have no idea how to bring a TTF (truetype font) into either MS Word or OpenOffice.

I have a $6000 Brady Labelmaker at work and I can print almost anything. I can even do the "cut to fit" feature that cuts out the letters for me. If it works well I can send them out to whoever wants them in an envelope. All I have to do is pay for the mylar tape. I was going to do my calipers by painting them white, putting the letters on, painting them either red or gold (I have a Pearl White Santy) and peeling the letters off.

Just copy the file .TTF file(s) to the \Windows\Fonts folder and it'll popup in all your programs!

Assuming you're running XP (Vista is somewhat different, but only somewhat)

Download the ZIP file
Unzip the file - you get the ttf font file
Lower left corner of your screen, click "start"
Select "Control Panel"
Select "Fonts"
Upper left corner, "File" and "Install New Font"
Navigate to wherever you left the ttf file.

Now you can select that font in any normal MS application.
