does the 2004 accent have either or both of the above?? if so where are they located?? how are they accessed?? the online manual was no help.

hoping someone knows. everytime i fill it up, the trouble light flashes for a few minutes. as the tank starts to empty, with driving, it stops flashing. maybe raw fuel is getting into the canister during the fill up [if the car has a canister close valve, this might be involved]. maybe a fuel tank air filter [if the car has one] is blocked and prevents good purge flow. the code is p0441 and the purge valve is NEW. replacing it did not change the problem [the dealer's advice]. the gas cap is new. this did not solve the problem [the car parts shop advice]. does anyone have any hot thoughts??

Replacing the purge valve was correct, as P0441 is incorrect purge flow. Gas cap was wrong, that would have been P0455 or P0456. Did you have the codes cleared? They could have done that with the scan tool, or you can do it yourself by removing the neg battery cable for 10 minutes. Clear the code and see if the problem comes back.

Yes the accent has both. If the MIL is flashing it is a misfire. Plain and simple. To access the canister, look under the left rear quarter panel. It sits almost at the very back. It is a much different system than all other Hyundai evap systems
