Anyone Have Issues With Door Locks On A 2006 Sonata? Options

I have a strange problem, when it is cooler than 65 degrees outside, my rear driver door locks fine (automatic or remote), but when it gets humid or when the temps reach around 70 (F), the door lock sticks, anyone see this issue?

My Sonata is garaged so it may not count, but it's quite humid here in NC and I've yet to have a problem. Are your problems isolated to both rear doors?

The door lock actuators are notoriously problematic. I'm not sure which warranty it is covered under, but if you are lucky you can get it replaced! Do it before it's too late!

You know...it's funny cause I had the same problem when I was living in NC. First it was my front passenger side door, then my rear doors. Drove cross country to CA and none of the locks have ever stuck on me. Went to the dealership when the problem started to get annoying cause I couldn't turn on the alarm, they said that the locking mechanism slips when it tries to lock.

I drove Cross Country to California too! 3600 Miles. I know my locks are going to poop out. I have pressed the Lock cycle

countless extra times to double check that I locked the Car. Of course if you press the button 2 times within 4 seconds

you will get the confirmation beep. I usually wait too long. Also using the lock Beep system to locate the Car, instead

of the Panic Button, which is twice as loud, and does not mess with the lock cycle.

Oh yea, was super fun. Especially driving through Dallas haha. Quite a shock when you're used to driving in a hick town in NC lol. Of course all that changed after driving in Cali for a while, I've pulled quite a number of "cali maneuvers" to almost be considered a resident (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Yeah it got real bad to where I had to go around to the doors to open 'em up and manually lock 'em. Even after the dealership, there'd always be one stuck. I'd get **** if I didn't see my lights flash cause I know one of the doors didn't lock.

I use that trick too, comes in handy ;)

No I'm not using a trick. I am wrecking my Locks. Missed driving through Dallas on I40. Why did you

go to California? California even had my original Drivers License # waiting for me. Now I pay State Tax

again, & enjoy the benefits of Prop 215. There must be 200 Smoke shops on Ventura Blvd in LA. Like a mini Amsterdam.

Haha yea, told my friends about that and they're like "IM HITTIN CALI RIGHT AWAY!" There's some dude in SD that goes around trying to legalize it for anyone and he has the stand with the signs and stuff saying 'help make pot legal'. Had to take a pic with the phone and upload to myspace and facebook.

For some reason the San Diego DA shut down all the stores, but you can find thousands of them

in the OC, LA, and North of San Diego. Have you been to Mexico yet. Many murders these days there!

My P/S rear door lock won't unlock if you try to unlock it several times but if you let it sit for 1/2 hour, it will unlock. My experience at a Stealership.............. If the door lock mechanism is bad and you are under 60,000 miles, it is covered. However, if it just needs adjustment or is slipping, YOU pay because the ba%^^&ds say it is an 'adjustment' covered under the 12,000 mile warranty. It's like Russian Roulette. Get it replaced for free or pay them to screw with your car for as long as they want and then charge you $90 an hour.

I've never seen this before. If it doesn't work, fix it under the warranty, for heavens sake! Don't tell me it was a loose wire and then say I owe you $180!!! Darn crooks!
