It's has been good reading everyone's opinion on the winter tires. I ended up going with a set of Hankook RW07 on steel rims. Saved some cash by the 235/70/16 instead. Now I'm just waiting for weather to cool before having them installed.

I'm not sure how it is up there but here, everybody and their mother waits until the weathermen utter the 'S' word (snow) and then they all make a mad dash to the tire stores to get their snow wheels put on. I do it myself at home with the floor jack...if you don't have this capacity, I'd get it done before everybody else rushes in.

I would love to sell you the take off wheels, brand new practically for $100, plus shipping. Don't know if this is allowed on the website, but anyway they're available. I live in Florida. Nomadman

I have stock 18 inch alloys. When I mounted my steel wheels and tried to use the factory wheel nuts, they bottomed out before they were fully tightened. This forced me to go to deeper nuts. For the alloys, the suggested torque is 80 ft pounds. For the steel wheels, I set them at 100. Congo
