John -- Did you get an extra 10 hp simply by adding the cold intake, or did you do some other things? I've been toying with the intake idea but have wondered whether it's really worth the expense. The dealer/stealer told me all I'd get was a different sound and maybe an extra 2 or 3 hp.

HW

hey man, i just guessed how many horsepower i got from the AEM short ram intake, the coolant bypass mod and Royal Purple synthetic oil.i havent brought it to a dyno or anything, im not really interested in horsepower i just want the car to get the best gas mileage.i am going to get a quiet cat back exhaust some day because the stock one sucks and doesnt let all the air out. i cut open my stock exhaust on my last car and there was literally a block in the center of it so barely any air could get around it.if you are looking for real horsepower talk to Rafael because he has tons of performance mods, his cardomain is : http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3238336 -he sold me his old intake for really cheap and he has givin me so many helpful hints and tips.we talk all the time so im sure he would be more than happy to answer any questions you have.thanks again for the support Hack Writer and i hope to keep modding more stuff and putting it up on here instead of cardomain so the pics actually stay here.

here is what i have done so far today with the emblem, to take it off i used a very light card, then took fishing line and went around the outside, etc. i put this plastic part on the back for now until i find something more sturdy to attach it to. i am going to the store to buy bondo now and look for more ideas.

1) I don't know where you can buy it, but more importantly
2) Why would you put an emblem on a car for a car that's not what you have? That's rice-a-roni-tastic.

+1.

Hbrio, you don't have an SR. Everyone will know your car is not an SR. All you will do by putting an SR badge on your car is look lame. Be proud of the car you have.

I hate when people put labels on their cars when they clearly don't have THAT car. One of the best examples of this is people putting the "GT" emblem on their Ford Mustang. It's obvious and makes them look retarded.

Even better...

A couple months ago, I saw someone put MASERATI emblems on their really really old crappy beatup CHRYSLER! I lawled uncontrollably.

Chrysler actually did do a joint car with Maserati. Some guy near where my parents live has an uber clean garage kept example. I agree it is a pretty ugly car.

Yeah, Hargis has prolly the best Crooked "H" mod I've seen on our cars. Kat's would be second.
IMHO.

Im proud of my car... but you know something, here in Puerto Rico the only two models of Accent the car dealers distribuite are the hatchback an the 4d. Honestly they look pretty simple to me. So I was thinking: what if I give my hatchback a different and unique look.
