Door Won't Open !, Rear driver side. Options

I tried the outside handle yesterday, but nothing happened .
I guess one of the Gears in lock mechanism got screwed up and stuck, that might be why it's jammed .I'll try the outside handle again ,maybe by pushing and pulling it ,make that gear move and come loos and lock works again .

It needs to be a two man job. Have one person pushing/pulling the outside door handle area while another try's moving the inside lock switch. I would also try repeated attempts at the inside lock switch back and forth, don't just continually push towards the unlock position. Were trying to jar this mechanism loose with repeated inside & outside pushing/pulling and inside back & forth moving of the lock switch. Okay, you could put the power window down and possibly do this by yourself by reaching in while moving the outside door handle mechanism.

Actually I was on a trip and I came back yesterday . the car was sitting in the parking, I didn't find any time to try that.

I'm gonna go and spend some time with it this afternoon, wish me luck .

And I found the way how to open it .

After a while banging on the door (where the lock is placed) and banging on the door handle and pulling the door handle nothing happened ,then I pushed the door lock switch real hard and unlocked the doors with the remote, wuala lock opened (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) and I got the door open .

Then I tried to lock and unlock the door when in was open and everything was fine , so I decided to close the door and see if everything is OK.
I closed the door and locked and unlocked it couple of times and every thing was fine ,then the lock stuck again ,I tried the same method and I opened the door again .
Now some times it works some time it doesn't .

I can't figure out what the problem is ,and what has to be changed ? Do I need to change the lock actuator ?

What is your opinion ?

It sounds like a rod from either the door lock switch or the door lock actuator is bent. It will have to have the door panel off to inspect the mechanism.

I'm gonna take the door panel off tomorrow see what's wrong .

So I went down and checked the door today.

I opened the door panel and locked and unlocked the door with remote like 10-15 times and every thing seemed to be fine .I closed the door panle and it worked flawless. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

It got me thinking maybe the door panel was puttuing pressure on those cables from the door lock switch to the lock .maybe that was why it didn't work properly . (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

I'm gonna use it coulple of days like this see if the problem comes back .I hope it doesn't ,cuz I really don't want to take my car to those Idiots in the Stealer .
