Hi, been getting grief of my dad about ordering the i10 as it is apparently the old persons car of choice. Not that it bothers me being as he's 45 and drives a Rip Curl Clio to make him feel 'hip' ahem!

So out of interest how old are you guys and girls?

I'm 22, have yet to pass my test :S but have i10 coming in Sept haha

I am 36yo. and don't think that the i10 is the old persons car of choice. I had a look at Fiat Panda, Toyota aygo, C1, P 107 etc...but the i10 is just a proper car with very good engine (1.2 Kappa) and once you drive it-you definitely don't feel like sitting in a mini.

It's my first Hyundai as I never rated this make, but they did it right- Designed at Hyundai’s European Design Centre in Russelsheim, Germany the whole “I" gamma is great looking.

Also Hyundai is one of the most reliable maker at the moment:

Glad to see so many "young 'uns". I'm 54 and when I got my i10 last September, I was the youngest person I'd ever seen driving one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

The first one I ever saw was in a local car park and it had two flat caps on the dash (two!?). I thought "Oh no, what have I done??? I've bought an old f@rt's car..."

I evidently needn't have worried - it just needed a scrappage scheme and a bit of time to appeal to the masses. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grin.gif)

I too have been told I'm driving an "old man's car". Or sometimes, a "hair dresser's car". The majority of people who have seen the car have not liked it, at least on the outside.

And you know what? I don't care.

I don't think the i10 is great looking on the front (I like it on the back though). I like the interior, I like the ride, and I like the features I got for the price.

If your friends are mocking you for your choice of car... Well, why care?

The car I had before was a Toyota Aygo. I was mocked for it being a "girls car". But hey, it was fun, and after a while, my friends really got to like it. One of them now says she really misses the old Aygo, and hasen't yet 'warmed' to the i10... Go figure.

Soon, I'll be adding a "carputer" to the i10. It will run my satnav, and my music. Later on, it will do so, so much more. I've been working on the software (nearly done), and soon will start to gather the hardware.

I love my i10, it's the best car I've ever owned. And soon, it will be even better.

And to top it off. I'm 24.

Well guys, I'm definitely in the 'Old F@rt' age group at uncomfortably close to 63! Having said that, I'm not yer average sixty something, as I'm also well into motorbikes (I have two), and I don't wear a flat cap either. I don't regard the i10 as an 'Old F@rts' car at all, not when you look around and see the number of 'wrinklies' driving Nissan Micra's, Skoda Fabia's and the 'Biddie car of choice', the Toyota Yaris. (Hope me Sister don't see this, 'cos She drives a Yaris and She's younger than me!!!). I too looked at the Citroen C1, Fiat Panda etc. and felt that the i10 was head and shoulders above all the others. My Wife has a 1.4 Getz, which is a great car, but I wanted something in the £35 road tax category, and the Getz is being phased out anyway, but in terms of value for money, I think the i10 is unbeatable, especially when you add in the five year warranty to the 'toys' included in the price of my 1.2 'Comfort', and I managed to wring a discount out of the dealer (This was last October, Pre-scrappage). My previous car, for seven years, was a Landrover Discovery 3.9 V8i, which I had converted to LPG, and I have to admit I've always preferred big cars, especially 4x4's, but as I'm now getting close to retirement, I really couldn't justify another big car. In all honesty, I haven't missed the Disco, and certainly not the fuel consumption of 11 mpg, even if LPG is less than half the price of petrol, and so far, I'm still very happy with my i10,- hope you all are too!

Well I'm 64 but feel much younger when I drive my i10. It's lots of fun and makes me smile.

I like it because it goes round corners like it was on rails and parks like a dream in the smallest spaces. Very useful for when we visit our daughter in Kew where parking space is at a premium.

Most people have been kind and said nice things about it and are surprised at the room inside.

oooh - I better bring the age back down!

I am 38.

Mental age 14 though!

In Norwich, I've only seen two over i10's thus far....only one an 09 plate.

So at the moment, I am reveling in the uniqueness of my car. And I am an accountant, so I know a good deal when I see one - and my brother is in the AA and restores classic cars, and he's given it the thumbs up too!

I do grin when I see another Renault Clio broken down......or a Ford driver thinking they have an English car, having paid more than me for no air con and a cassette player!

I am watching top gear each week wating for their approval....

Oh, and I know refer to the Getz as the 'old gits' car.....(old Getz.....getz-it???).

Mental age 28, actual age 58. I am an on and off biker, have driven plenty of different vehicles including military, trucks, big cars, tiddlers etc in many different countries and must say that my Style is the best all-rounder ever. Does everything I ask of it and more. To those people still waiting: it will be worth it, you see!

I am 50 but mentally 40 (the missus says even younger so young I am not allowed to drive!!). Old people's car I don't think so as it's a car i'd recommend for a young 'un and they can mod it all they want!! as long as I don't see old people wearing hats while they drive 'em who cares. jaguar owners and sports car owners average age is probably in the high 50's so whats the problem.

Also the number of i10's in my area are unbelieveable as they seem to be everywhere. I love my i10 as it's got character and style love the stubby front and it can shift some, oh did i say the stereo is the dogs b's
