Driver's side front door handle has failed, does anyone know whether the same side rear door handle is interchangeable with the front? The car is a 1.0L 2001 Atoz.

Hi there, unfortunately, front and rear handles are NOT interchangeable !

It seems quite common for them to break, but I have repaired them with a stiff wire link to join the two broken plastic pieces, then a large blob of epoxy adhesive, the type that you mix two tubes together, and they set in a very short time.

I think it is the heat that causes the plastic part to split / crack, we have had it happen on different handles on our two Atosses !!

Yassoo, and good luck repairing or replacing, for which you will need small fingers !

Well it is the fact that the front and the rear handles cannot be interchanged
