Hello folks,

I went to the dealership last weekend to test drive a SF 2.7 and I found it extremely underpowered in terms of engine performance. So, I drove a 3.3 GL FWD which I found much more powerful. The initial offer that I got from the dealership was $30,200 CAD (including tax and PDI, extended warranty for 160,000 KM and after $3,000 factory rebate) for a 3.3 GL FWD.

Do you think I should go for it or should I wait until the end of the month and see if I can get a better deal on a 2009 model, considering that Hyundai has extended its incentive program again.

Thanks.

Hi Everyone - hope you can help -

I am hoping to buy a 2009 Santa Fe GL 2009. My dealer had a demo with 13000km's on it. The salesman only gave me the regular $3k factory incentive and $1500 for the kilometers already used. I countered with asking for an additional $1500, cross rails and a ski rack. He said he could only offer an additional $500 ($2000 + the factory incentive) and nothing else. Was my offer too low or is he being greedy?
At this point I think I could get a better offer at another dealer for a new one !
Any sugesstions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Ummm... 13,000kms and he drops $500.00?? You're in Canada, so join the APA, get info on what dealers paid for the vehicles.. 3 per year with the membership.. and then find another dealer. They will point you to a dealer with a pre-negotiated price over dealer cost... no haggle... you can take that price to another dealer if you want.. all they (APA) ask is that you don't tell the competing dealer who the APA contact is. I did that and got mine new.. no clicks on it.. for $500 over their cost. Keep that ace up the sleeve and find out what other discounts are available.
