I have an '05 Mazda 6 Wagon with Traction Control - basically cuts the throttle when slipping occurs.
Just got on '08 Entourage with ESC (Electronic Stability Control). So, my first vehicle with that in it.
Anyway, when first moving forward from a standstill on snow, while also turning right (coming out of our driveway), the vehicle emits a groan type noise from the front left tire. Is this ESC kicking in and applying the brake to that wheel alone? I can tell there is slippage in traction because coming out of our driveway it is quite slippery with packed snow and slightly uphill. So far I have only heard this noise it situations when turning right - might just be by chance ...
I haven't paid attention to see if there was a light indicating ESC on the dash when this occurs.
Is this a normal sound? Is it related to ESC or Traction Control perhaps??
