Hi,

Just wondered if this is me being a bit tight or if anyone else has noticed a sharp increase in Hyundai service pricing.

My Terracan is due for it's 5 year 50k service. This is identical to the 30k 3 year service, which in November 2005 I payed £171.11 for. The same main dealer has quoted me £274.07 for the 50k service.

I know the price of oil has risen but this seems a very steep increase in price.

A Hyundai dealer further away has quoted 'about £220' which I will probably go for, and another main dealer quoted £300.32, for a simple oil change! This is the last service before the warranty expires, so dont want to go to an indie until it is out of warranty but will probably do so next year.

Does anyone know a good indie in the South Coast/Thames Valley area?

Hi gez, that sounds about right unfortunately. I paid £270 odd quid for the 30k mile service and MOT in september. The dealer gave me a discount which meant i basically had the mot free. Try asking the dealer for a discount, especially if you go there regularly. You never know, they might be feeling generous (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grin.gif)

Hi Ges
Don't know how close you are to Sandhurst (Berkshire) but I used inde called Vulcan Motors Lts, Manager/owner Robin great guy and he will use your own oil etc if you want him to- I supplied everything apart from the diesel filter. and his charge for my 2nd service was very fair.
want more details contact me by pm.
