Keyless Entry, My keyless entry will not unlock door Options

My keyless entry will not open door. The alarm does not sound when I opened door with key. Of course the car will not start(won't turn or click) when trying to start the car. I have tried to reset by turning the key to on for 30 sec then off and start. No noise. Any ideas out there?

What did you do in the end rjday? I have the exact same issue with a 2001 Lantra Station wagon and I cant figure out how to get it driveable.

Does anyone else know how to help?

I had a similar problem with my 2004 elantra. The keyless entry would not open the car, my engine would not turn and my trip computer would show no data. I was towed to our mechanic and he found out that there is a small switch by the clutch. It was one of those things that is never supposed to go wrong, but did. I ordered the piece from Hyundai Auto Parts for $24 plus tax and it starts no problem. The keyless entry and some other malfunctioning electronic worked once again when I replaced the the fuse for it(most likely when the car wouldn't start the fuse blew some where there).
