Seriously doubt it will get the V8. I guess everyone stay tuned for the LA Auto show - that's where the prod model will be unveiled. So far all the press releases are calling it the Genesis Coupe. Guess we'll see.

QUOTE(NovaResource @ Oct 27 2007, 08:22 AM) Sorry, that clipping was from Road and Track magazine. We've been discussing the RWD Tib on NetTiburon.com for months. The pics are NOT of a Genesis coupe, it IS the RWD Tib replacement however, the RWD Tib is based off the Genesis platform. What we don't know is if the Tiburon name will still be used or replaced with a new one for the new model.
The Tiburon name could be used on a veloster based model.

(IMG: style_emoticons/default/00000732.gif) to the forums! Most dealers (including mine) received their first Genesis Coupe last week. Check ebay, they are all over. Yes, it does have the turbo I-4. Tiburon ceased production in August, yet we just received 2 more Tibs that were built in March of last year!

Looks a lot like the SIII coupe here in the UK - first available around 18 months ago. I test drove one on Sunday (late 2008 registration, see attached pix). I should soon be buying an early '08 one (the '08' plate comes somewhat cheaper than the '58'one) - my local dealership is currently checking out other UK dealers for a black one, or failing that a silver one. Here it comes as a 1.6, 2.0 or 2.46 litre engine (I'm going for the 2.0 one - the 1.6 apparently is sluggish and costs only fractionally less to run, so not really worth considering). Reviews suggest it knocks the SII out of orbit - never having driven any kind of Hyundai before I can't obviously comment on that. But it really was a joy to drive, especially when I got it out of town and onto the country roads! Can't wait ......

QUOTE (NovaResource @ Oct 26 2007, 07:24 AM) That is not correct. It is the RWD Tiburon, based off the Genesis platform. (IMG: http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a179/mrphotoman/newtib.jpg) Looks very close to the Gen Cpe
