Anyone happen to know the Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) for the 2007 or 2008 Hyundai Entourage. I have spoken with the dealer's service dept & Hyundai Customer Service and they did not have this information.
Thanks

How do you remove the panels so I can get access to the radio (and remove it)?
A web site with pictures would be ideal.
I have a 2008 Entourage.

Hi folks,
I was just wondering if you could share with me if your Entourage goes to more than a third of the way up the temperature gauge when the engine has warmed up.
All my previous cars have settled around half way, and I do get the feeling the cabin heating isn't as warm as it should be, so I'm wondering if there might be a problem with my thermostat.
I don't want to pursue if what I'm seeing is normal so I'd really appreciate some input from the panel.
Thanks in advance.....

It is hard to exactly describe. The van has just 3800 miles, and we have been sensing this since around 500 miles.
At very low speeds, it feels like the van bumps down the road. The bumping increases with speed. Between 30-35 mph, it feels like it is "chugging" to get to 40mph. Is this a transmission thing? At higher speeds it turns into vibration, felt in the seat and the sun visor vibrates, and it feels like the vehicle rolls or sways especially at highway speeds. A vibration is also more noticeable on the left side of the vehicle, and it also changes when a heavy passenger (200 lbs+) sits in different seats in the rear. And it has gotten progressively worse as the van is driven more and more miles.
We have been to the dealer numerous (5-6) times. They keep finding and replacing bad tires. The area rep is involved too, and they used a vibration analyzer that they said pinpointed yet another bad tire. 2 weeks ago we put 4 brand new VERY good tires on it. With the new tires, we have a much smoother ride, but the bumping/thumping/chugging/vibrating/swaying still comes and goes. The dealer has also aligned the vehicle, as it had a pull to the left. The alignment seems pretty good now, but could this be an alignment issue?
I have read so much about rotors, alignments, wheel balancing, and the dealer has done all they are willing to do, that is tires, unless I can come up with some exact things to specify to get answers on or checked out. I feel like "there is something they are not telling me" or Hyundai just does not want to fix things because they all play dumb. And this just does not make sense....why would they want negative experiences like these on the internet?? Don't they know how much negativity this creates about their vehicles??
Help anyone, please.

Hello All.....Just picked up a 2007 Entourage used. One key fob works and the other does not. Changed battery and still does not work. I am assuming it needs to be programmed and the manual does not mention how to do this.
Does anyone know how to do this?

I have Hyundai Entourage, when taking right turns that are slightly elevated for e.g. driving into my drive way, I get grinding/clunky noise from the front on the driver side. It is like dragging metal shovel on side walk/
I took it to the dealer, initially they suspected strut on the passenger side and replaced it but the noise was still there...then they replaced tie end joint...and then finally after getting some tech help from Hyundai techline they replaced the sway bar and some bushes, then they replaced driver side strut the problem is persistant and easily reproducible...
I am not sure what else is left to be checked or changed in the front suspension
...it has been with the dealer most of the time after I bought it...I am really being patient all these days but I am getting disappointed now...
The dealer is very receptive and trying his best but looks like it is going no where except me revolving around the dealership..
could any one please help..

Hi all - I am having some leak issues with my 07 Entourage. It is less than one year old and has 10,000 miles on it. Looks like it is transmission fluid and something else on the other side. How the heck can this happen on a new vehicle? Anyone else seeing this?
This is the second issue that I have had so far. The first one was the bad rotors at 400 miles. They had to be replaced and at 10,000 miles, the vibration is starting to come back. Anyone else have this issue?
I love the van, but these issues are makeing me nervous...

Hi all.
I am new to this forum.
We own a 2008 Entourage and just bought a 2009 Sonata.
I traded in a 2004 SantaFe for the Sonata.
Does anyone know how to remove the stereo in the Entourage?
I had installed an FM modulator in the SantaFe and removed it before trading it in.
Now i want to install it in the Entourage but I don't see how to get the stereo out to get to the antenna wire.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello all.
We just bought 2 Hyundais. Mine is a demo 2008 Entourage and my wife got a 2009 Sonata.
We both love them
I am perplexed because my Entourage didn't come with HomeLink. Is there a way to add it aftermarket without going to the dealer, or is this something I'm going to have to see the dealer about.
Thanks for the help and I look forward to being on these boards.

I just bought a 2007 Entourage that didn't come with a DVD player....so I payed for the dealer to install one.
OMG -- I just paid big bucks to have an FM-transmitter installed -- it sounds terrible. Did those of you who bought the van's with the dvd player have an fm-transmitter?

Hello
Our van has 10,000 miles if that.. not even a year old and its in the shop right now as the seal on the transmission died and leaked all over my new driveway! Anyways the wife says its because we towed our popup camper while running AC....
Just want someone to clarify is it ok or not to run AC while towing? I have read many posts and they say it is. My wife called our dealer and they said there is a transmission cooler installed by default with the Entourage. Anyone advice? to help settle this debate?? Towing like 2500 lbs.
thx

Hi folks....just stopping in. I bought my second Hyundai this week -- the 2007 Entourage....having bought the 2008 Sonota Limited a day before.
I guess we're really a Hyundai family now

Anybody upgrade their stereo? I'm thinking of a bluetooth capable/mp3/usb port type solution. One that I can hook my phone or mp3 player up to.

Just bought a 2007 Entourage Limited in Sept. 2007 and I should of said something before I took possession of it the next day: when my wife and I first took the test drive I noticed when the salesman first started the engine there was a pretty loud "tapping" sound commencing to last about 5 seconds. "Well I thought, must be just that it was sitting on the lot for so long and the lifters didn't get a chance to pump up."
So my wife drives it for the next month or so and I just keep hearing this loud "tapping' at start up every time the car has sat overnight (tapping is especially louder in the morning when dead cold) or even when the car has been parked for about an hour - though the tapping isn't quite as loud. Needless to say even though the rest of the car is very nice indeed this is starting to bug me. A $34K car should not sound like a starting car with 150K miles on the odometer, right?
After perusing numerous Entourage forums (which aren't many) I figure it just might be the timing chain tensioner(s) as per Hyundai's TSB.
With this knowledge I asked the service manager at the dealership where I bought it to listen to the motor after it sat overnight. Two service techs come out to listen. One supposedly is a "Platinum Technician" and the other is just a run of the mill senior technician one supposes. After they heard the tapping sound for themselves they both agreed it must be the timing chain tensioner(s) per the TSB.
It goes into the shop the following week. It comes out after 2 days and 13 hours of service book tech time to take out the original timing chain tensioners and replace them with upgraded parts. It is a relatively major job.
I go to pick it up after service hours, start the motor with no mechanic around to listen, and there's the same %$#& tapping sound with not even a touch improvement. Craaaaaaaaap. So much for that Platinum Technician expertise!
Needless to say, the service manager next week will be hearing from me.
So I'd like to get some of your opinions with these points to consider
1). The TSB for the timing chain tensioner upgraded parts obviously didn't fix the problem.
2). I have read on one other Entourage forum that some surmised that their similar tapping noise could be due to how the oil filter is situated on top of the engine block hence not allowing enough oil pressure to build up fast enough when lifters or what have you are confronted with a cold engine much less high speed start up idle. IOW, possibly a built-in design anomaly that every owner's just going to have to live with. Not likely one explanation I can accept though.
3). In any event, this does not appear like it's going to be an EASY problem to DIAGNOSE. The fix will likely require a sizable engine teardown, down to and including possible lifter bodies and camshaft. Even then, tracing the root cause is going to mean leaving this van in the shop for quite some time I would bet and even then who knows if they'll get it right the first time it's torn apart again.
4). But, due to the fact that I don't have exactly a whole lot of confidence in the Platinum and senior service technician abilities so far to diagnose this problem at this Hyundai dealership close to me (and I don't want to drive 40 miles to the next one around me either to get a second hands on opinion) I'm thinking to nip this pain in the butt ordeal in the bud by calling Hyundai's customer care dept directly and getting a regional field service tech to get involved right off the bat before it turns into a delightful lemon circus escapade.
5). What bothers me more than anything else to be honest with you is how can Hyundai quality control at the FACTORY let something this noisy leave their line? Well, pretty much everything else on the car is aces so they did do some real quality control at the factory except for this little showstopper throwing water on the proverbial fire we'd be one happy camper. But we're not.
Bottomline: If any of you have an inkling what this problem could be beyond what I've indicated it would be most appreciated.
I sincerely hope this is not an inherent 'design flaw' in the Entourage engine that I have to "live with". To my way of thinking when and if I trade-in or sell this car one day I sure don't want to have to explain what this noise is to the potential buyer who then tells me, "I can't give you your asking price nor take it in for a trade-in because the motor obviously has start up noise issues."
Any insights or suggestions in general appreciated.

SOUTHTOWN HYUNDAI IN EDMONTON ALBERTA CANADA
In 2005 I purchased a Santa Fe. I had a few problems with the vehicle over the 2 years - not a big deal except everytime went to get the problems fixed they tried to make like it was my fault. First the cd/mp3 player wouldn't work properly. Tried to tell me it was because I was playing burned CD's in it and this would void the warrant. At first I left, b ut after I thought about it; HOW ELSE WOULD YOU PLAY MP3'S ON IT? Without warning a passenger door went out of alignment and when it was opened the moulding damaged. I was told that I must have let the wind blow the door open and that's why the door went out of alignment so it wouldn't be covered by the warranty. These are just a couple of examples.
Fast forward to 2007 and a 3rd child on the way and we needed to get a larger vehicle. We decided to give Hyundai another chance only this time we would go to a different dealer. We started to negotiate a deal and ironically out of the blue got a call from a salesperson from the original dealer where we bought our Santa Fe. This new salesperson said the dealership is under new ownership and wanted to contact all of their old customers and see if they were interested in trading or buying another vehicle. I expressed my dissatisfaction with my experience at Southtown Hyundai and the salesperson said give us a chance to make it up to you.
Unfortunately, I decided to give him the opportunity. Many promises were made and broken, but the one that upsets me the most was that we had agreed that if I bought the vehicle they would install a Hyundai DVD player at cost. They proceeded to charge me $1000 it retails for $1149. I let this go, but when I dropped it off to have it installed (almost 2months after I bought it) they put in a cheap, no name DVD Player from Visions Electronics. If that wasn't enough it is so noisy in the wireless head phones that my kids can't listen to it. I immediately complained to my salesperson; the same one who said if there were ever any issues he would personally take care of me. He told me he would take care of it. Another month goes by and nothing, not even a call. I use my vehicle primarily for work and I am very busy. I live 80 kilometres away from the dealership so it is not easy for me to get there all the time.
I casually dropped by to make an appointment for an oil change and talk to the salesman about it and he passed me onto a "manager" who comes out to the vehicle, listens to it and agrees "the DVD Player is garbage." The manager tells me to bring it in the following Monday get my oil change and they will take it back to Visions to get it fixed. I asked him why they didn't put in a Hyundai DVD player he said "This one is better." So I take it in for my oil change that Monday and the "manager" was not there and nobody knew anything about it. So I got my oil changed and decided to mention it to the sevice manager and he said he would pass it up to the General Manager and have him call me. Again no call. Long story short I have had the vehicle (which I love) since Dec 2007 with a brutal DVD player that I overpaid for since the end of Jan2008 and it is now July 2008. I have been to the dealership several times and always get some run around; "we will call you back"; "I can't authorize that solution"; "that manager doesn't work here anymore".
My salesperson who was going to "look after me personally" has passed me off to someone else because "his hands are tied". Well today I was told very arrogantly and smugly that unless I can produce a Bill of Sale with "Hyundai" DVD player written on it that I would only get a repair IF Visions will repair it. I am furious, and embarassed. I allowed myself to be fooled into believing this dealership had any stitch of integrity. I urge you not to do the same. There are several people in the Edmonton area who have had similar problems. I would recommend going to another dealership in the area. If you do a deal with Southtown get EVERYTHING IN WRITING. This is just some of many things that they have done to demonstrate a complete lack of integrity.
Can anyone suggest a way to get a resolution? I am at my wits end. I have been honest, fair, and accountable. They want me to bring it in AGAIN on Friday so there "technicians can listen to it" for the 3rd time. I am a very patient and professional person, but I have had it with this dealership. Stay away from SOUTHTOWN HYUNDAI

The dealer thinks it is the fobs but I think he is wrong. The dealer is NOT a Hyundai Machanic. The shop is a used dealer. Can somone tell me what is going on with this. I have had them reprogrammed.

I am having a heat related problem with CD player and burned CD’s. If van is in sun and a burned CD is inserted, CD will error on upper tracks after playing approximately 5 minutes. If CD player is cool, the same CD will play completely through. The dealer has replaced the CD player twice and this has not corrected the problem. I need to get it back to the dealer and I believe they are planing to replace the CD player for the third time. Has anyone had a similar issue? Has anyone been able to play burned cds without any issues?

I hate to start my forum membership here with a complaint, but I need to get some answers. I purchased a new 2007 Hyundai Entourage in April or May of last year. We have had some minor problems such as the power doors not always latching, rear spoiler gasket, etc. Nothing that even gave enough of a problem to take it to the dealer (although I will watch for a TSB on the door problem).
However, on 4/11/2008 the van would not start. The lights, windows, doors, etc worked fine, but when I turned the key - nothing, nada, zip. Maybe the sound of a relay under the hood, but that was it. I called roadside assistance and set up an appt. for the tow truck in the morning. However, the next morning the van started right up. I cancelled the tow. After researching the problem on the web, I found that there was a TSB on the problem. I even printed it out for future use. Well, on 5/11/2008 I parked the van and ran into the store. I came back 5 min later and again, no start. My wife came and picked me and my toddler up and we went onto church. After several hours, I came back and tried it again and the van started right up.
I called the nearest dealership on Monday and was told to bring it in today. My dad drove it to the dealership (40 miles away) and they told him they couldn't do a thing unless it wouldn't start for them. Well, after some arguing my dad left and brought the van back to me. I called the Hyundai-USA customer service line and got absolutely ZERO results. They basically told me tough luck and that the dealer had to reproduce the problem. I told them about the TSB and still got the run around. I asked for a supervisor and was told that I would get a call back within 24 hours.
Honestly, I'm just disgusted with Hyundai. A documented intermittent no start problem should not have to be reproduced by the dealer to fix the problem. The TSB and the numerous other accounts of Entourage owners should suffice and give the mechanic sufficient cause to replace the IPM. This is a safety concern and I will not drop this. The worst part is we are supposed to take a family trip in 3 weeks and I'm afraid to take my $30000 van with less than 10k miles on it.
Shameful service. I'll keep you updated. I have another dealer 75 miles away, but I don't want to waste a day and a lot of gas driving it over and get the same result.
Any advice? Anyone here having the same problem?

I purchased my Entourage in April or May of 2006. Started experiencing squeeks in the rear...maybe hatch...in December (10,000 miles) of that same year. I have since visited my dealer 4 times to correct. The problem still exists and I am scheduled to speak with the GM and SM this coming Saturday, June( 16,000 miles). Up to this point, I have been quite pleasant, but that is about to change. The problem goes away for a few days or weeks, but returns...especially during times of higher moisture...rain etc.
Anyone else having or had this problem? Any known solutions??
I am a fan of Hyundai products...8th Hyundai car in last 10 years.

Originally, I discovered this forum while looking for advice on changing the cabin air filter on my '07 Entourage. I only wish that I had found all of you smart folks before I used a pair of pliers in an attempt to remove the little black hinge stoppers inside the glove box. Or, more precisely, before I smacked my knuckles with the pliers, and taught my grandsons some words that I will pay for later.
For those who haven’t tried this trick, I have some advice. I went to O’Reilly’s and got a cabin filter plus an air filter for the engine for less than $20 total. As far as I can tell, they are identical to the previous dealer-installed pair which cost me $126 with labor included.
About the procedure: turn to page 6-22 in your ‘07 Owners’ Hymnal, and follow along.
Ignore figure 1. What they didn’t show you is that the support rod is outside the glove box, on the right side. It sort of snaps onto a small easily broken stub. Gently push the rod to the right and it pops off.
Scoff at figure 2. If you can see anything like figure 2, you haven’t a prayer of getting the stoppers out. Close the glove box door until your pudgy little fingers can just barely wiggle the stopper. See? It’s loose.
Howl at figure 3. Sharp corners, right? Use Neosporin and band-aids on your ripped fingernail.
Forget figure 4. Go get the car vacuum and clean up that mess of dust and bugs you just dropped on the floor. You’ve been breathing some of that, you know.
Congratulations! You just saved a hundred bucks, which can now be diverted towards martinis for your convalescence.

Hey,
Anyone one have one of these installed? I got the wife one for Christmas and due to backups in installs we just got it installed.
The problem is that when you start the vehicle, the doors unlock. Not very secure to start it up in a parking lot a block away if anyone walking by can just hop in.
Talked to our dealer and they say they cannot disable what ever causes this and they say it is up the auto car starter installer to get around it.
Seems to us that it is some kind of "Can't lock your keys in the car" feature to us, because you can't lock the doors with a key in the ignition, the same things happens on our Santa Fe(it does not have an auto car starter).
Anyone have ideas?
Thanx

So far the van is only a day old but started to document my experiences with the my new Hyundai for others to view and ask questions. Check it out if you want to read my opinions or ask me questions:

The latest TrueDelta Vehicle Reliability Survey results have been posted. These are for the year ending December 31, 2007.
For the 2006 Kia Sedona, we received an average of 6.8 months of data on 25 vans. The stat of 64 successful repair trips per 100 vehicles per year (0.6 per vehicle) is about average for a 2006 model.
For the 2007 Hyundai Entourage and Kia Sedona, we received an average of 6.0 months of data on 22 cars. This is a marginal sample, so the result is asterisked. The stat of 64 successful repair trips per 100 vehicles per year (0.6 per vehicle) is identical to the 2006 results, and about average for a 2007 model.
No result for the 2008s yet. We do already have results for some other 2008s, including the new Buick Enclave.
Everyone who has been helping out with this research, thank you. Those who aren't yet helping out, please consider doing so. We need your help to provide more precise results and include additional model years.

Hi Guys.
I'm getting some running boards put on the car and am gonna be putting clearance lights on the outsides of the boards - 3 little orange lights per board (L&R).
I'm just gonna tap into the parking lights wiring to do this, but does anyone have a schematic for the lighting?
Possibly a scan of a workshop manual someone can email me?
Cheers,
Grande

Hey all. One of the main knocks on the Entourage is the "body lean" on corners. I think overall that the van rides real nice, but do see that when cornering or riding on the twisties there is a little too much lean.
Anyone know about any suspension upgrades that would address this? Just imagine how sweet the ride would be with tight cornering!

The latest TrueDelta Vehicle Reliability Survey results have been posted. These are for the year ending September 30, 2007.
For the 2006 Kia Sedona, I have an average of 6.4 months of data on 21 vans. The stat of 81 successful repair trips per 100 vehicles per year (0.8 per vehicle) is worse than average for a 2006 model.
For the 2007 Kia Sedona and Hyundai Entourage, I have an average of 4.7 months of data on 18 vans. The stat of 57 successful repair trips per 100 vehicles per year (0.6 per vehicle) a about average for a 2007 model.
This is an insufficient sample size, so the results are asterisked and only visible to members on the site.
The sample sizes for both years are insufficient, and so are marked with an asterisk in the results.
Everyone who has been helping out with this research, thanks. Those who aren't yet helping out, I hope you'll consider doing so. It would be nice to get rid of those asterisks in future updates.

I have an Entourage with 37800 miles. When the A/C is set on Max and I shut off the engine, I hear a flapping noise 3-5 times. I wonder if their is an air diverter which is held in place with vacuum pressure which is released when the engine goes off. Is there a way to silence this sound?

[SIZE=7][COLOR=blue][B] WILL the ENTOURAGE still be in production come 2008? We've seen conflicting reports of HYUNDAI replacing it with a new Model. However they brag about having the SAFEST Mini-Van on the Highway. WHy if you make the BEST of a style would you not continue to make it? THis supposed CodeNamed "CV" automobile that "might" be its replacement, have they named it Yet? Or is the "CV" what is now called the Veracruz?
Any info on this subject would be appreciated. And if you know of a link with all this data it would be appreciated if you email it to rwr6179@yahoo.com.
Thanks A LOT!!

im looking to buy a minivan before 2k6 ends to accomodate space for my family. i currently own '01 nissan sentra gxe and liked its performance and mpg. even so, i got turned off because i felt that after reaching 36kmi, it is starting to break up (yeah, just after the warranty expires); that would cost me more money to repair. it is now only at 57kmi; and i'm getting worried of my xmission, belt repairs, etc.
anyway, looking for a minivan, i am initially considering odyssey or sienna, but as the price is not as affordable as entourage, i wanted to be more cautious on buying one. looking at entourage, the price is very attractive, but i'm not as sure if this is somewhat relative to the number of times i would bring it to the dealer for service. obvously, i have seen/read good reviews on entourage; but i have also seen bad reviews on hyundai's in general. i appreciate if anyone can provide fair/true input as a help. better yet, if you can provide me an electronic copy of their warranty.
on another note, will they ever release a trim with nav system?
hoping to get the right answer(s) in time.
thanks in advance.

My Entourage is great, except for what seems to be an excessive engine drone even on the highway under very light acceleration with the cruise control on.
My wife and I noticed this issue separately and swear it was not this way when new.
The dealer was very helpful and replaced the rear tailpipe (per Hyundai instructions)
They said give it some time and bring it back if necessary.
Thie new tailpipe did not help.
Anyone have a similar problem?
thanks....

Hi,
I was hoping someone could validate some information.
In looking at the design of the 3.8 having the filter on the top I am assuming that after a set amount of time all of the oil is the filter chamber will drain back into the engine. With that said would it be normal to hear the engine tap for the 1st second or so until oil pressure builds back into the filter assembly. I was told by the service manager at the dealership that 1-3 seconds is considered normal after the engine sitting overnight.
I worked for GM back in the day and hearing engine tap during startup was a no-no but their design always had oil sitting in the filter.
Any information would be appreciated as well as if others are hearing the engine tap during startup.
Thanks in advance, Ken

Hello, my wife and I are seriously considering buying an Entourage after test driving a comparable 2007 Honda Odyssey and an '07 Sedona (and looking at the '08 Caravan & Toyota Sienna).
The dealer told us that the '08 Entourage was EXACTLY the same as the '07's. Does anyone happen to have any info on the '08's by chance? The dealer wouldnt' share with us their data and spending $25000+ is a lot of money so we just want to make sure it's going to the right minivan.

The latest TrueDelta Vehicle Reliability Survey results have been posted. These are for the year ending June 30, 2007. Late responses could lead to further changes, but these are unlikely to be large.
For the 2006 Kia Sedona, I have an average of 4.9 months of data on 18 vans. This is an insufficient sample size, so the results are asterisked and only visible to members on the site. The stat of 82 successful repair trips per 100 vehicles per year (0.8 per vehicle) is a little worse than average for a 2006 model, and worse than I'm seeing for some other Hyundai models. The new Hyundai Santa Fe has a similar repair rate, though.
The sample size for the 2007 Entourage and Sedona, 13 responses, is too small to post a separate result, but its repair rate appears similar to the 2006's based on the data I do have.
Everyone who has been helping out with this research, thanks, these results would not have been possible without you. Those who aren't yet helping out, I hope you'll consider doing so.

I bought a 2007 hyundai entourage from lee hyundai in fayetteville, nc @ august. It has been in the shop 4 times for the same recurring problem and more. When the car temp heats up and is standing there i a lod knocking noise that sounds like two spoons tapping against one another over and over again. They changed the chain and the oil pump and it is now louder then before the fixed anything. They tell me its the computer adjusting the transmission and engine together.

yeah right....when a engine makes a noise it is never a normal or good thing at all, there is a problem and they tell me its normal. They even had a district manager from atlanta georgia drive up and tell us the same thing. We drove a loaner car same make and model but diff color and it did not have that same noise and they even brought a second car and no noise. I stood there for 20 minutes both cars cranked side by side and the dealers said see there Its the same and tried to make me believe that it was the same noise when clearly it wasnt. I have a lemon. And not only does the engine make a noise the steering wheel pulls to the side and they adjusted the axles and it still does the same thing, the air bag always comes on saying it is deployed when its not, and the driver side door makes clinking sounds. I have 3 kids and it just seems like this car is about to break down on me in no time. I am just waiting for the district manager to let me know what the dm in california has to say about this problem....but I know one thing this is not normal. Anyone has the same problem please let me know if its normal or not because this is so frustrating. New car, high payment and loud noise...I should of gone to Honda.

Hi all. I bought an Entourage SE back in February and have noticed that it seems to ride kind of rough when it starts each time. It seems to smooth out after a while, and I was wondering if this is a just how the Entourages are or if I have a problem. It feels kind of bumpy when the car first starts and for the next few minutes/miles, but seems to go away after a few minutes. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Is this normal? It doesn't seem to be consistent, and I can't seem to attached it to anything in particular (speed, temperature, etc.) I also had a vibration at 70+ mph, but the rebalanced it and it got better. This seems to be a separate problem though. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

We just bought a 2007 Entourage with the 6 speaker, single cd setup. Does anyone know the power output of the headunit or the size of the front door speakers? Are the front speakers components or are they standard speakers in the door?
Any help on this will be great, thanks.

Hi guys and gals,
I purchased my 2007 Entrouage Gl back in August, actually was the first to purchase at my dealership.
I have had an ongoing issue with the van however. In low speed breaking situations (ie; traffic 5-10mph) I hear a squeeking sound when I slowly apply pressure to the brake, or release the brake. It happens mostly when there is moisture on the ground/air.
I have brought it into the dealer, but it never seems to happen when we go for a spin around the block.
Dealer cannot "hear" the problem, so to them the problem is non-existant. Last time I complained, they changes some parts for the brakes, but it still happens.
It is somewhat embarrasing driving in traffic with squeeky brakes. Peoples first instinct is to look for the old 1991 Caravan, but they then realize it is my brand new hyundai van making all the noise.
I am pretty upset seeing that I paid over $30K for this Van. I am also stuck in a long-term lease.
If I could, I would trade it in for an 07 Santa Fe. I own an 04 Santa Fe and have never had any issues with it.
So far with the entourage, I have had problems with the following:
1. Brakes (squeeky)
2. Fuel economy (I get about 300Km for a full tank, totally unacceptable)
3. Heating / defrost (takes almost 20-25 minutes for my windows to defog/defrost)
4. TPMS monitoring system (dealer did not know tired needed to be inflated to 35PSI so my monitor was always going off)
5. No more "zip". First week from the dealer, this van moved like a bat out of ****, now, when the pedal is pushed to the floor it "lags" when accelerating. It also seems like the pedal does not depress like it used to.
6. Rear trunk rarely closes properly on first attempt.
All in all, if I could give this van back to the dealer, I would.

Having driven (Dodge Caravan) minivans with 'Auto delay off' headlights for many years, we just assumed our new Entourage would have this feature, and were astounded to discover that it does not. It is a feature that we really like. A Google search seems to indicate that US models of Entourage have the Auto Delay Off, but Canadian models do not. Can anyone comment on this? Thanks.

heres an email from HYUNDAI uk which i got today regarding replacement fo the Trajet .
Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding the Entourage.
There are currently no plans at present for this model to be marketed within the UK.
I have been advised of the possibility that vehicle production of the Entourage may be adapted for the UK market in the future. Unfortunately we are not able to confirm a date for this.
I appreciate that this response may not meet with your expectations however the Santa Fe is a highly competent 7-seat product offering superior levels of refinement and build quality. This excellent product is a wonderful alternative for the Trajet with a more flexible seating system that doesn't require the removal of bulky items to create additional space and loading configurations. The Santa Fe is a newer, more stylish and safer alternative to the mainstream MPV option.
I hope the above information is of use to you.
Yours Sincerely
