I just bought the OEM Fog lights & OEM switch, I'm using aftermarket wiring (for my 2007 Santa Fe GLS 2.7), I want to use the OEM switch, making the install look factory. Dose anyone know what the 6 pins on the back the switch connect to? Or how I might go about figuring it out for myself?

Warning: To safely fit this switch, you need to identify the correct wires using a multimeter and need to attach the switch in a safe manner, ensuring that no short circuits are possible. Failure to attach the wires securely and to insulate the connections properly may result in a short circuit and risk a fire in your car.

Here it is how I wired the stock Santa Fe switch when installing oem foglights on 2008 Santa Fe GLS AWD w/o factory fog lights.

This allows you to turn on foglights independently from factory headlights or parking lights or you can turn on headlights hi or lo beam or just parking lights and ride with fogs on or off anytime.

You can connect the positive wire from fog light wiring to only turn on and off when you have the ignition turned on or you can wire to your headlamp switch and have them come on only when headlamps are turned on there are several other combinations.
I chose to have them turn on and off anytime.

The same wiring for the switch above applies regardless of the method you use to have your fog lights turn on & off the only difference is how you decide the fog lights work best for you to have them turn on and off. Remember where you place the red positive wire from fog lights determines how they will turn on and off.

Connectors for wiring switch I purchased from Pep Boys part # 84547 to wire factory foglight switch.
The above picture shows how the connectors come inside package with the light blue insulator there just crimped on lightly so just remove the blue tops with pliers.
Solder wire to above modified connector then I used red heat shrink tubing to cover connector from top to bottom this asures there is no exposed metal part of connector to cause a possible short.
(I did experiment shorting the contacts and everytime the fuse would just blow)

Above is picture of wired connector I removed the two wires for the green led for sake of picture clarity.

One more thing the pair of connectors for the fog lamps i soldered to a KC hitlites wiring harness and used heatshrink then wrapped in electrical tape can be found here see picture on the website and purchase.

KC wiring harness I did not use the relay or the attached fuse supplied w/harness.

Sorry for not explaining step by step from start to finish but this is a straight forward basic mechanical skills job.
The challenge for me was finding the correct contacts & polarity to attach each wire so the switch is fully functional.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif) check all electrical connections & your wiring twice even three times to ensure a successful job.
