For my 2003 Elantra: If I replace the CR2032 battery in my keyless entry fob, does that somehow cancel the code, which would then require me to pay a Hyundai dealer to reset it? Or do the fobs each have their own unique unchangeable code which is saved by my Elantra's ETACS module, meaning I could change the fob battery and still have it operate correctly?
The local Hyundai dealer wants [b]$64 to set a fob for my car (!) so it would be nice to know before making an appointment.
We might just change the battery in one of them as an experiment.
