yes, gone from old gen i10 1.2 to new gen i10 1.0 - must say 1.0 is very quiet, smooth and refined - we tend to use ours mainly as a run about and it is fine for that - having said that it does sometimes need a bit extra grunt when pushing on and in our case, the 1.0 is not as economical as I had hoped it would be - we use it for mainly shorter distance but light urban traffic journeys with a few longer trips but driven fairly gently. My i20 1.2 trip meter tends to indicate it is more economical than the i10 1.0 trip meter indicates and I tend to drive the i20 a little faster! We struggle to get anything higher than low to mid 40's mpg from our 1.0 but I know others will say they get significantly more somehow!
I did test drive in both. Having come from a 1.8 ford, the 1.0 was never an option. I occasionally do motorways and I wanted something that was comfy on them. The1.2 has not disappointed. I love my new car.
1.2 for me, it has just that little bit more when you need it.
been on the motorways a few times and never felt out of it's depth.
just my opinion.
