I traded in my "old I10" just before the 2nd services was due and got a new I10 active. Have a few minor niggles.
Battery. I have had to call out the RAC once so far due to a flat bettery. The RAC guy checked the battery, alternator etc but could find nothing wrong. He suggested that I run the car for an hour or so to recharge the battery. Since then have had to do it twice when the battery showed signs of going flat again. Surley this cannot be right for a new car. Yes I only do short trps with my I10 but this is marketed as a "city" car and to my thinking this means lots of short trips. I feel like handing the car back and telling them just to fix the thing or replace it.
Knocking. I get a strange knocking sound from the rear drivers side wheel sometimes. It is rather loud and sounds like a knackered bearing. Will book it in to the dealer in the New Year and again tell them to fix it.
MPG. For a city car I am getting rubbish MPG was getting 50 MPG with my 1.2 P reg MK 1 Fiat punto that my first I10 replaced but so far I am only getting 35 to 38 MPG with my new I10. Will have to mention it to the dealer when I take it in.
LED running lights. Has anyone fitted LED running ligts to their I10. I am really puzzled that Hyundai did not fit them to the new I10. Would like to fit them as at the moment I am running on front fog lights to act as running lights. If anyone has fitted them would they care to post some pictures etc.
lots of people get poor mpg whilst other claim excellent figures...seems to be luck of the draw.
