Stormtrooper's mods

I picked up my 2012 Azera a few months back and have been happy with it. I want it to be a little different from others out there so I'll be customizing it bit by bit. I'll be posting here to track my modifications.

But first, here he is enjoying some time at the beach.

Thanks to members in this community, especially jimrinflorida, for posting about removing the grill. That gave me the confidence to try it myself so I could plastidip the chrome & grey and make it black & white.

Nice job! Looks Awesome. White Azeras should come from the factory that way.

Did the windows come tinted when you bought the Azera, or did you have them tinted? Even though there are screens on the rear window and 2 rear side windows, I wish the Azera had tinting.

Stormyblade, they were tinted when I got the car. It was a lease car in a previous life. The tinted windows are too dark for the front windows. It hinders my vision too much at night so making turns is problematic because I can't make out details through the dark tint.

Wow. Somebody who cares the tint is too dark and affects driveability!

Thanks - I live in Oregon where we don't get a bunch of sun all year long, but in the summer when it's bright I really get envious of my wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee that does have fully tinted windows. I know I could pay a shop to put tinting on, but I have heard horror stories from several people that did that so I'm a little reluctant to go that route, or even what to ask for.

If you go to a reputable shop, you shouldn't have any issues.
