Tail Light Lettering

I noticed that the "Azera" lettering that goes across the tail light is raised. My question is, can it be removed like any other badge or is it part of the tail light mold?

I debadge all of my vehicles.
You're one of mine:grin2:. And I almost always buy the top-of-the-line, so it's not to pretend my base car is better. He he. On the contrary. But the main reason I do it is EASE OF CLEANING. And in the case of my black Porsche, it's absolutely necessary or there'd be awful swirl marks around the letters. And second is I like a clean look. No need to advertise the model/make of a car, or anythng else (like dealer decals, etc). I always leave the center emblem because cars look weird without it (only Porsche doesn't have one). It's rather unattractive on this car (and hard to clean as well), but since it's pinned and recessed, nothing I can do about it. Could change it for the Korean version, but don't like doing that either. Plus it's my beater car, so no intention on putting too much effort on that. He he.

I removed mine.
Glad to hear. I tried removing mine, and determined they either had pins behind, or were glued (as opposed to double-sided tape), so didn't mess with them anymore. I don't know if the car would look better without them than as is, so could you please post a relatively close-up picture to see how it looks now? I'd greatly appreciate it.

That is exactly what I wanted to know. Thank you good sir! Picked up a 2016 Azera yesterday and I cannot wait to start making changes.
Congrats. If not done by carlowdelete, could you post a pic? And also how you removed them. Due to the indentation, don't think it's possible to insert a trim tool like I do with regular letters. Don't want to mess up the plastic if I decide to do it. And I said that because I'm thinking of trading the car very soon. Thanks man.

Thanks a million brother. It definitely looks a hundred times better. Glad the letters are not 'crazy-glued', like I thought they were. Will do it this weekend. By the way, that Batman logo (or whatever it is < ha ha>, looks better than stock) is much better than the stock since it covers the entire area. It's a PITA to clean the stock one. Don't anticipate changing it, but out of curiosity, and for the other forum members, where did you buy it? And did you also do the front? Thx.

No problem and thanks for the kind words. I did replace the front logo as well as the wheel caps and steering wheel logo's. The front required taking the grill off and removing the stock bulging logo. The caps/steering wheel stick right over the stock flying H, no need to remove anything.

You can find them here:

They had a 20% off coupon a while back (forget what it was unfortunately).
