Well, I just moved up to a 2016 Azera Limited. I owned a 2013 base model. The best vehicle I've ever purchased. I wanted to get an upgraded model with more features. The only car I like more than my 2013 is my new 2016! I also wanted to thank the many contributors to this forum. It has helped me over the past 3 years. Especially Mr.V who's insight and knowledge has been a great asset to all members. I look forward to all future postings.

Great! It will be interesting to hear your comments on the differences between the 2013 Base and the 2016 Limited. Notice any difference in the ride between the 18" and 19" wheels? How about steering? Are the new tech/safety items worth it? What else do you notice?

Thanks, glad to be of help. I get back more than I give!

I bought a 2016 Azera Limited and the steering was very, very stiff when driving over 45mph. It was so stiff on the highway that it was actually exhausting to drive it for a long period of time since I constantly had to fight the wheel to keep it centered. I took it to the dealership who replaced the electronic steering motor. This helped a little but they even said it is still sticking. They ordered an entirely new steering column and replaced that, which finally did resolve the issue. Luckily I have a great Hyundai dealership and they did the right thing, even though I didn't buy the car from them.

I did assume I would feel the road a little more with the 19" wheels. It was really firm when I test drove it, but it was due to each tire having 10 PSI more than the recommended 33 PSI. Once lowered it was very comparable to my 2013 base. I really like the added features, and the Infinity system sounds MUCH better than the Dimension system. Especially on HD radio. I like the Smart Cruise Control, the panoramic roof, and lots of other options. Some of which I'm still learning about. The only thing I wish it had was Android Auto. The Azera is a really great car! Too bad Hyundai is discontinuing it in the U.S.

The steering is far better than the 2013. The steering was my chief complaint with the 2013. I went to my dealer's service department and spoke with the Manager about it. He had a mechanic hook it up to the computer and found there was no adjustment that was possible. The steering on the 2016 is much better.

If you are interested in a 2015, the local dealer here has a Moraccan Pearl Limited with beige interior for $30,650. MRSP was approximately $39,400.

Fly into Little Rock, free ride to the dealer, $1.00 documentation fee and drive it home. I saw it today.
They also have seven 2016 models there.

A word of caution. The 2016 which I have now has the smart cruise that the 2015 does not. It also has the electric parking brake. The smart cruise is the radar system that automatically slows the car down, especially useful on the highway. The 2016 model lists for approximately $1,000 more and the discounts are less.

The 2015 model evidently is eating into the dealer's floor planning charges so he is probably very anxious to see it go. I think that is a good deal, if one doesn't need the smart cruise. It is a very pretty, classy car.

I don't know what a new 2016 model would sell for. We had a situation develop that moved me from a 2015 to the 2016 so it would be apples and oranges to compare the prices.

I would add that it would be highly advantageous to consider residual financing @ 2.15%. This is NOT a lease. It is a balloon contract that comes due in three years. That is not something to be concerned with in my opinion. The car can also be paid off in full anytime and the title is yours; free and clear. I want to stress this is NOT a lease. But some of the ins and outs suggest a lease. It isn't.

Someone could get a very good deal on that remaining 2015 if they were of a mind to do so. I've bought five new Hyundais at this dealership and they are a good dealer but you can service it anywhere.

Drove on the highway today for a while, and used the Smart Cruise Control. It worked well - no problems. That is a really nice feature. Had the blind spot monitoring on. It also worked well, as did the lane keeping assist. however I wish the alert volume was a little bit louder as I tend to play the stereo with a bit of a raised volume. The electronic parking brake is nice, and the "auto hold" feature is convenient. There is a pretty big difference in the sound quality between the base Dimension system and the Infinity system. I think that's why I was playing the radio a little louder :) I can't wait for warm weather and driving with the pano roof open, and the cooled seats running.

Overall the Azera is a great car!

I concur with you comments but I do have a specific question for you.

Have you had any warning from the forward collision warning system? That is actuated by the camera mounted underneath the mirror on the windshield.

The lane departure warning and the forward collision warning system operates off the same camera. The smart cruise operates off a radar system that is mounted in the front part of the front bumper facia. That is a separate system and has to be turned on with the cruise on. You can set the distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.

This is an excellent short video from Consumers Reports that demonstrates their desirability.

Ran into my first issue with my 2016. For the last several days the voice recognition system would not let me give the commands "call<name>" or "Go Home." On the call<name> command, instead of asking if I want to call the spoken name, it would respond by asking me what name in my contacts I wanted to call. A three step process instead of two. Likewise, when speaking "go home" it would then ask me what name in my contacts I wanted to call. Both commands worked perfectly for the first week or so, but then EVERY TIME it defaulted to what I mentioned. I spoke the commands clearly. Basically, it was no longer functioning as designed.

I unpaired my phoned and deleted it from the car, then deleted the car from my phone. This didn't work. I then pressed the reset button on the front of the radio. This finally worked. The voice commands are now working as designed.

I purchased a set of wheel locks from Amazon. I removed the wheel hub cover to access the lugs, and noticed a wheel lock already installed. I took off another cover and there was a second wheel lock. I went into the trunk, lifted the cover over the spare, and there was the wheel lock package with the four removed lugs in it, along with the key. They are the Hyundai brand. Nowhere in the paperwork did it say they were installed, and this being my third Hyundai, locks were not pre-installed on my previous cars. A pleasant surprise.

I'd recommend that you grab a torque wrench and re-torque all the lug nuts to 75 ft. lbs. It is highly likely that whoever installed the wheel locks didn't properly torque them. I found all of mine were wrong. some too tight, some too loose. So, you might as well check all of the lug nuts while you are at it. Improperly torqued lug nuts can lead to brake pulsation after about 3,000 to 5,000 miles of wear.
