Many months ago I had a rattle in my 13 Azera. Of course when I took it back to the dealer they heard it but when I left it was gone. I had a scheduled service to have it looked at but the rattle never came back.

The last two weeks it is back louder than before. I thought it might be coming from the passenger seat belt housing on the side of the door but now it sounds like it might be coming from the passage side rear door or maybe the sun roof. Hard to tell yet my girlfriend was in the car last night said it wasn't coming from the passenger side seat belt housing sounded more like the rear of the car.

So going to make an appointment to get it looked at next week. I hate rattles! I looked all over the car yesterday after had her cleaned up. My trunk is empty, so not sure what it could be

Check the pop up wind screen on the Pano roof. Open the roof about an inch and see if it still rattles. I thought my rattle was coming from passenger side rear but turned out it was the pop up wind screen in the Pano roof. A couple of felt pads cured my rattle completely.

Ok will look at that today. Thanks. I check that back shade not that. Had it up the rattle still there. Sounds like something in the sun roof or the back right door. Driving me nuts. Have an appointment next Thursday. Getting a loaner told them to keep the car and find the rattle.

Rattles are one of the most annoying things I can think of. More so than the missus.

Cabin interiors of some vehicles are like an echo chamber. What sounds like next to your passenger's door, can be coming from some other remote area. Locating it can drive the mildest OCD owner to his breaking point.

Most of the time, it's ME at the center of this rattle problem: Putting an I.D. badge with one of those retractable collar clips in the overhead map compartment. The wheel lock keys in the glove box. Or, one of the granddaughters leaving some change in the lower right door compartment. Stupid stuff, like that. To emphasize my points, I should have spelled it "stoopit."

Nope this is something up in the sun roof for sure or the back door. I have everything out of my trunk. It isn't coming from back there for sure sun roof which I have only used one time or the back right passenger door.
Well, you know we're going to drive you crazy if you don't tell us what they found it to be. Just a forewarning! :wink2:

Yes I did look at the seatbelt to make sure it goes back in place. Thought maybe the seatbelt was hitting against the plastic but that isn't it. Still think something is loose inside that mechanism maybe but with a rattle hard to tell where exactly it is coming from inside the car. It is either that or something in the sun roof. Opened the roof up this morning and inspected looks fine up there so really just perplexed. Maybe the rear passenger door back window, not really sure.

Rattle...

Greetings, I hate rattles also. Have you had your wife or significant other drive while you crawl around it the back trying to locate it? May or may not help but you never know. Stethoscope if it is in behind a panel?

I just fixed mine by tightening the spare tire down. I know you said you had everything out of the trunk but I thought I would mention it.

I drove my Azera over 50 miles today not one rattle. Beats me I can't figure it out. One entire week it rattled, have an appointment and now no rattle at all. I hit bump after bump and nothing. Open the sun roof nothing. Now today it was 80 and sunny so maybe the temp had something to do with it. The next few day the temps are going to drop down in the 50s so maybe I will hear it again. Never thought about the spare but that should be snug as I never used the spare before but worth a look. Very perplexing!

I picked up my Azera from the dealer today. Glad to get rid of the Elantra loaner. Toooo small for me felt like I was riding in a old pick up truck with no power. Well it was one of their base models so can't expect much. Anyway first day they found that the hood had a rattle and they tighten it. I never heard a rattle in the hood area. I told them to keep it leave it outside over night and try it again in the morning as they noise was coming from the inside. Sure enough the next day the tech heard the noise coming for the rear passenger side sun roof. He said it was a rattle creaking noise. I said that is it. They called me back about six hours later repaired the problem The bolts that held the panoramic sun roof in place were not properly tighten from the factory. One was off completely as he showed me a picture. They were tighten and he test drove the car. I said I would pick the car up today. Now it was outside all night as I wanted to keep it there just to make sure the rattle was gone. Sure enough drove it home and no rattle. Car is tight just like it should be. The tech asked me how I liked my Azera? I told him best car I have ever owned and I had a few. No major issues other than this rattle. I'm very happy with this car. He said not many sold they just don't advertise this car but I can say one thing. Everyone who has brought one in for service loves the car. Never any issues with the car however the Sonata has issues small ones but issues. The Azera is well put together just a more solid automobile. I was impressed on what he said.
