I think the Cadenza loaded up will cost about $45K and they don't deal like Hyundai and the reliability isn't as good for some unknown reason. Look at the little Optima Ltd cost more than the Azera!

Does anyone have any info on the expected arrival for the 2014 genesis? looks like it will be a game changer

I don't like the look of the Cadenza. It looks thrifty missing something not very good lines in the car. Grill look funky. Rear end looks like a Ford. It may show well in the ratings but Azera is a much cleaner finish, good lines, fresh and has the performance that a car owner wants in a new car.

Kia makes good cars but I would not waste my dollars on that brand just yet. I rather pay a little more and get a Hyundai that is an up and cominng brand here in the USA.

I'd bet the folks in the Genesis forum would have a lot of good information on this topic. Not trying to be a 'smarty-pants' here, but that's where you're likely to find the most knowledge on this topic. A quick search there revealed this: http://www.hyundai-forums.com/201-ge...ming-sept.html

If this thread is accurate, the 2014 Genesis is just a minor refresh. If that is correct, I'd expect the 2015 Genesis in early 2014. That car will be a pretty dramatic change according to reports. With AWD, this car will get a lot of play if Hyundai can make some improvements in driving dynamics.

On another note... is the driver only ventilated seat on the Cadenza confirmed? That was one of my turn-offs on the Genesis. Pretty dumb IMHO.

It seems the 2014 is the major redesign as per this: 2014 Hyundai Genesis Spy Shots (With Interior)

Nice pic of the interior. Looks nice! I have seen both theories on the 2014 vs. 2015. Often Hyundai will intro the new models early in Korea, and then bring them to the US market about 6 months later, sometimes as "next year's" models. That was true for the re-design Sonata and Azera.

From the Edmunds review:
2014 Kia Cadenza Review | Edmunds.com

"Standard features include 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, foglights, rain-sensing wipers, power-folding sideview mirrors, keyless ignition/entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather upholstery, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, 10-way power driver seat, four-way power passenger seat, heated front seats and a ventilated driver seat. Standard high-tech features include a rearview camera, rear park assist, an 8-inch touchscreen display, Kia's Uvo voice command system, a navigation system, Bluetooth phone/audio and a 12-speaker Infinity sound system with a CD player, satellite radio and USB/iPod/auxiliary audio inputs.

Options are grouped into packages. The Premium package includes active xenon headlights, a panoramic sunroof, a windshield wiper de-icer, a 7-inch gauge cluster display, upgraded leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, driver memory settings, a power driver seat cushion extender and a power rear window sunshade
."

It looks like just the driver's seat is ventilated. You can add an option for heated rear seats. Yeah not sure why they wouldn't just do both front seats.

I don't like it when cars have too many option packages. I really like how the Azera has just one option -- makes it really simple. Either you want it fully loaded, or you don't.

Thanks Snacker... that is also what is listed on the Kia website, although the info is listed as preliminary.

I can just hear the conversation between the Kia and Hyundai bigwigs.

Kia Guys "OK... we need some advantages so people will consider our Kia vs. your much prettier Azera"

Hyundai Guys" Ok.. maybe.... what do you have in mind?"

Kia Guys" Well, we are going to add Lane Departure warning,, Blind Spot info, Napa Leather, Woodgrain, Heated Steering Wheel, Active Headlights, an 8 inch screen on our nav.. and a few other goodies."

Hyundai Guys... "OK... but you can only have the ventilated driver seat.. not for the passenger! We did that on the Genesis, and it kept a lot of people driving Infiniti's and Lexus! :D:D:D "

Kia Guys " Oh.. Alright! :mad:"

Waiting to see it in person. Still love the Sonata after nearly a year but may upgrade if the new Genesis hits the spot.
