Unhappy Power outlet/ lighter is not working, fuse checked

Hello,

I have bought a 2007 Elantra recently, and I have noticed that power outlet/ lighter is not working. I have checked the fuse but it is ok. I have to access the back of the power outlet to check the cables but I do not know how can I do it. Can anyone explain how can I access the back of the power outlet step by step. If there are some pictures or videos that would help, I will be thankful it you share them.

Thanks in advanc

How did you check the fuse ? Visual or with volt meter tapping each leg for source voltage

Are we playing with a lighter socket (I dont recall HD Elantra having a lighter),, or an actual power outlet, 2 different animal.

Looking at ETM at Hyundai service site, there is a 15A CIG fuse, and a 15A PWR outlet fuse right beside it.. break out the DVOM and look for source voltage.

You can carefully probe sockets for power and ground also.

I am not sure about the '07, but my '08 GLS has both a lighter and power socket. They are fused separately with 15A fuses.

Thanks so much for your reply.

Actually I swapped to fuse to check them, because it was dark out there, and it didn't work. The next day I checked them visually, and I saw the both of the fuse I swapped was burnt, so I replaced them, and it is working now.
