User manual 2005 XG350, Publication No.: A39O-EU46F, dated June 2004, downloaded from HMAservice site. Page 87.
I have no XG at hand to try but maybe I'm going to have a purchase candidate in a few days ...
The exact same button sequence is mentioned in the Trajet manual of 2003, so it appears to be a Hyundai 'standard'. Hard to imagine it should not be working in the top of the range XG.
l am not going to argue with you.........if you think you're right that's fine by me. However you are reading the manual for a 2005 XG350. This member has a XG30 which ceased production in the UK in 2002
Im not arguing either. I'm sharing information. The climate control module is the same from 99-2005, regardless if XG250/30(0) or 350 (if the automatic one is fitted - for the manual the question doesn't make any sense)
Thanks for the suggestion but my UK spec 2000 XG30 doesn't have a button with TEMP on it.
There are up and down temp control buttons with blue or red only.
Does not reset to C with battery disconnect either.
Looks like I need to back up from all I said before ...
Tried to do the AMB+TEMPdown sequence on a 2003 XG350 today.
All that happened was temp setting go down accompanied by some wild beeping because I pushed 2 buttons at the same time.
It appears that either this C/F variabilty feature has been introduced in late 2004 only (e.g. by new firmware in the control module) or it's a Hyundai fairy tale.
Please take my apologies for making you all mad at me ...
No worries,if I'd searched properly I'd have found the answer already posted 10 years ago by Montego.
