Getz wont start hot

My 2006 Getz 1100 has developed a number of faults which seem to be electrical and may even be related.
I have found some possible solutions to some of them here on the Forum.

1. after warmed up, if the engine is switched off it will not re-start. By this, I mean that once switched off the key will not energise the starter. All the usual dash lights are on but it seems the message doesn't get to the starter. In about an hour, the starter will engage with the key and car starts just fine. So if the car were to stall somewhere, I would be stuck for at least an hour!
2. when cold or not been used for a few days, the misfiring is terrible and the engine Check light will be on. The Check light goes out after the car has warmed up, but misfiring is still present - not as bad.
3. the central locking sometime does not lock all doors, usually immediatly after I have switched off the engine (which wont restart for an hour) and want to lock the doors.

I am suspecting these may all be related and the immobiliser is somehow involved?
Found info here suggesting coils and HT leads may be faulty - but maybe not!

The car is not worth a lot of attention so if I could at least start it when hot it would be useful.

Thanks for your thoughts......

Yep sounds like a starter solenoid or relay. You can try swapping the relay with another (if possible) to eliminate the problem. It may also be in the starter inhibitor switch if it's an auto or clutch switch if a manual.. The missfire may be a coil or plug being the most common. You need to check for codes. Central locking out of my league.
